Love is in the air!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I won't say a thing about the white stuff out my window, I promise. ;)
But DH and kiddos are off again today which makes me happppyyyyyy.
It's Whimsie Doodles Wednesday again and time for a new challenge at our PCP group. This week my buddy Sheri has challenged us to create a Love Is In The Air card - focus on love with Valentine's Day coming up. Of course I took it literally:

This up in the air image is from the Mini Valentine's set, since it was an airplane I thought I'd make a spinner card with it.

I promise it goes all the way to the right but I didn't want to upload 8 pictures here. ;)
Now it's your turn to create a Love is in the Air card and show us your stuff! Click HERE to get to the PCP page to see the awesome designs that the girls have come up with, starting off with Sheri's inspiration.

And mark your calendars because Whimsie Doodles is having a fun Bunny Hop on Friday!

You'll get to meet this little guy above, as well as some really sweet characters. I won't ruin the surprise, so come on back to join in on the fun.
Have an awesome hump day everyone, enjoy your day!

Hanging by the strings

Heehee! Hi everyone and welcome to day 5 of our extended weekend! Yes, snow day again, and with 5-10 inches more expected tonight. yay. But at least my DH is home too which makes it feel like a vacation. :D

Today is a fun little post for Die Cuts R Us newest challenge. I am still pinching myself that I made it on this team, they are a truly talented bunch!

Our challenge this week is brought to you by Cara - and it's all about LOVE. I received this sweetie from Claudia , she is from the Unity Lovin and Livin Life set. There are also 4 different papers of that yummy DP from Pink Paislee - the polka dot panel, flower panel, light green leaves, and gingham DP that I used for my flower. These are all from the January Card kit:

The card kits are FABULOUS as you have such a variety to play with, there are sheets of cardstock, DP, embellishments, and ribbon in a kit. Who could ask for anything more? The best part is that if you purchase the card kit, you are automatically entered to win the following month's kit free! Click HERE to find out all the details.
And last but not least, I used my Copics to color her in...eek! And guess what?!? Claudia is having a wonderful sale on the Ciaos right now! Yes, if you have been wanting to try copics or are hoping to add to your collection, click HERE for all the details of this awesome pre-order sale. My order is growing on an hourly basis. heehee! The pre-order sale ends on the 14th so hurry on over to choose from individual or bundle packs.
Thank you all for coming by today! Make sure you head over to the DCRU blog to see all the wonderful samples from the card kit and Unity set, and to enter in to this week's challenge. I plan on spending another lazy and happy day with my family. :D

Trying to be elegant. ;)

Happy Monday everyone!
After a weekend of 30+ inches of snow, my kiddos are home from school again. Yay! It's actually kind of fun, especially since they all love to entertain each other (ugh...I probably jinxed myself by writing that). ;)
This year I've made a resolution to try new crafting techniques as well as using stashed and hoarded materials. I was excited when I found Teri's template for this little bag:

I dusted off my old SU Urban Garden DP since Color Dare has a current combo of Pacific, Kiwi, Baja and a touch of gray.
Since this tote is actually pretty tiny (about an A2 size in height) I decided to use this SU quote:

Here are the contents when it is opened up:

There are 3x3 note cards for the pocket using coordinating DP and more sentiments from the set:

And since these are all teeny tiny I am submitting it to Saturday Spotlight's latest challenge.
I think I'm going to propose this idea to my sister for her wedding next Summer. Maybe this could be thank you gifts for all those who are helping us plan? Hmmmm....if I start now I'll be able to get them all done. lol!
Thank you for coming by today! Have a safe and wonderful Monday my friends. :D

I {heart} Raise The Bar! (heehee)

Okay, you busted my corny title. At least I'm feeling better though! ;)
It's Friday, another snow day here in VA, and time for a new challenge at Raise The Bar!
It's an easy one, and sort of a no brainer with Valentine's Day right around the corner. That's right, it's time to have a Heart to Heart talk, so use any type of hearts on your cards!
Here is mine, I finally had the chance to play with my own digi:

I decided to make an easel, but width-wise instead of lengthwise. {All you have to do is adjust the folds horizontally as you would otherwise do with a regular vertical easel.}
My image is colored with copics and paired with that new DP I just bought at Michaels for this card. It is sooo yummy, full of texture and glitter and such wonderful colors.

I was at Big Lots the other day and ran across some great Valentine's Day chipboard from K&Co for 99cents. Love love love that store! I used 3 of the hearts on the easel along with the sentiment and more baby blue bling to balance out the colors. This fun digi is now available in my shop HERE and comes with 3 coordinating sentiments.
I've also made this for a handful of challenges that you are more than welcome to follow along to:
Cute Card Thursday: Spots & Dots (CB folder)
Digital Tuesday: different fold (horizontal easel)
ABC Challenge: New (just debuted my digi and that DP)
C.R.A.F.T.: Valentine's Day
Creative Card Crew: Valentine's Day
Pile It On: Enough of Winter colors
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge: Hearts
Little Red Wagon: Chipboard

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! Enjoy your day. :D

Thanh's PCP Seeing Red challenge!

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday to you. :D
We are snowed in, with more of the white fluff coming this weekend. Yay! I finally had a chance to catch up on some DT stuff after this weekend's virus. Thank you for your well wishes!

It's Whimsie Doodles Wednesday and time for a new challenge over at PCP. Thanh is challenging us to use Red! I decided to use Elephant Shoes for my card, he balances out the reds nicely in his gray shades. This is a sweet and simple sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, I am getting used to my new mini Janome that DH bought me as a Christmas present. :D The flourishes were made from a QuicKutz set that my buddy gifted me. It's nice to be able to cut these in any color that I need now (thanks SherBear!).
Come on over and play along! You can find the adorable images HERE at the store, and we're hanging out HERE on PCP.
Enjoy your day everyone, stay warm and happy!

A new challenge at DCRU!

Happy Tuesday everyone! And thank you for the well wishes, I am feeling a wee bit better but not 100% yet. Fortunately I already had this card made up for my debut with Die Cuts R Us! Yay!
This week we are having a color challenge, based on this yummy paper by Basic Grey called Sugar Rush:

The colors are so pretty, and the different DP samples are amazing. I chose to use the chambray decorated sheet, along with the light green patterned paper below Izzy. Can you tell how ready I am for spring? ;)
Here is a closeup of the adorable adhesive coordinating chipboard:

Come join in on the fun! I would love for you to see all the wonderful samples by the DT HERE on the DCRU Challenge blog. And look at all the incredible products that you can find on the DCRU store site, just an awesome way to get your shopping done in one spot:
