I loved the vintage feel of this paper collection! I used Amelia {The Greeting Farm's Journey stamp set} since this paper was covered with script and postmarks. It's such a beautiful design, the coordinating papers are just as amazing! It's perfect for scrapping older photos and is a wonderful price at DCRU ($5.40 for the entire Paper Pad). A Crafty Little Place is so inspiring!

I was so happy to see that the colors of my pictures coordinated with the papers! My son and father in law were outside playing with the water hose, grandpa had to adjust the nozzle setting so it wouldn't overpower Isiah's little hands. heehee! I love seeing generations together - truly magical moments.

ACLP challenge time!

This is a little $1 frame from Michaels, using my square nestabilities I cut uniformed squares and arranged them in a quilt-like pattern. My Mother-In-Law has a wonderful country theme in her den, I thought this would be perfect with her little grandson's picture in a sepia tone. :)

A tutorial, a treat, and a giveaway!

Happy Thursday everyone!
I am so excited that the weekend is upon us - our kiddos have Monday and Tuesday off so it will be well spent relaxing and enjoying their company. :)
Today is a fun post as I did a tutorial on A Crafty Little Place blog using DCRU's wonderful products. It's the easiest and quickest little pocket treat holder:

This is a great project for a quick hostess or teacher's gift, for little treats as well as gift cards (tucked behind the peppermints), or even as birthday party favors. It's so simple that the kids can make these themselves for a craft. As you can see, tea bags fit perfectly into a 6x6 size. Follow the same directions to create 8x8 treat holders to accommodate hot chocolate packets and bigger snacks.

ACLP's spooooky challenge

This card was so fun, I learned an easy window technique when I first began stamping. Just punch out 4 squares and back it on to solid cardstock. I used a MS punch for drippy goopy windowsills (I call it the Goopy Doop punch) and paired it with the cute papers and stickers sentiment. Come along and join us on this spooky ride! A little tut toot and a giveaway!

Happy 2nd post of the day everyone!
Well it's definitely fall here in VA, which makes me want to stop making cards and alter everything in sight. ;)
I came up with an easy Autumn project after dreaming about it one evening. It is being featured on ACLP's blog so I thought I'd share it here with you as well.
Here are the things you'll need:
12x12 sheet of cardstock plus a coordinating scrap
Oval nestie or punch (you can also do this with a circle shape)
adhesives
embellishments
chipboard letters F-A-L-L
cardboard
ribbon

Begin by cutting ovals out of your paper. With some planning, I managed to get 11 ovals out of one sheet (thus the extra scrap that's needed for the 12th oval - lol!). Don't worry about cutting off a small side of an oval (look at the top side of the very last one, the brown part is cut off a bit) - as long as you have 4 full ovals as the centers, then the rest can be tucked behind it.

With your ovals, use a full one as the center of the pumpkin, then adhere two more to add sides. Play around with your designs, it's really neat how they take on different looks depending on where they are placed.
I also used scalloped scraps to top off the pumpkin:

Once this is done, ink up your chipboard and then adhere the letters to spell out FALL on each of the pumpkins. Here's the fun part: embellish with scraps, buttons, twine, charms, you name it!
When you are done, attach a piece of cardboard behind each pumpkin, this gives it more sturdiness as well as provides you with an area to attach your ribbon:. Here is my finished product:

This one was made for my girls who love to keep track of the seasons. However, I am giving away another handmade banner to one of you!!
