Here is my card using a Sugarplums digi from All That Scraps:

I used purple! Not a common color for me but it was fun creating around it.

Here is a side shot so you can see some of the 3D effect:

By running off her boots and mug twice, 

I was able to add some dimension to this card. 

This is a fun technique!

Well thank goodness it's Friday, it felt like a long week, didn't it? But what a beautiful season to celebrate, especially when it's an acrostic one! :)

I finally had a chance to use an image from All That Scraps - can you believe Trevor is a year old in my inbox? heehee! He's a cutie and worth printing up and coloring in. Snowball fight!!

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday! I know it's waaaay too early to think about snow but I just had to use this cute little CC Designs image from All That Scraps for the latest Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge. I know there's a huge following of the Pixies and the Kikis, but I thought Sweet Pea was so adorable!
Here is the card in its entirety:

I am not sure why I keep using pink and green this week, but I sure am having fun with that color combo! This sketch is really fun as it has many different elements to compliment your main picture:
As you can see, I flipped mine to the side. As long as we can see the layout on your card, that is perfectly fine with us!
Here is a closeup of Sweet Pea:

She's colored in with copics, then I added the little bell to the end of her winter hat. The snow was done with polar white flower soft that I bought online at Pez-A-Doodles. (If you all ever need anything, Marti is such a sweetheart and has really awesome prices!)

Hi everyone and a very happy day to you.
While I was surfing in blog land this weekend I came across a few challenge sites that I wanted to try my hand at. Holy smokes! These challenge blogs are addicting!
And since I played around with Laddie Ian while watching Taken (great flick btw!) I thought he would work really well with my card.

First on the list:
Our Creative Corner's challenge which features an adorable sketch:

All That Scraps challenge to not use ANY DP on your card. What in the world?! Talk about a true challenge! It was a little tricky but thank goodness for the Cuttlebug! Those strips of plaid ribbon kept me sane. teehee!


And finally, 3 Clovers Thursday to use some bling on your card. I have these little silver jewels that I have been wanting to use. I usually use bling on girly images but thought this was a little boy-ish and fun. :D
