Sneaking this one in...

Hello everyone and a happy late Thursday evening to you!
I made this card for a challenge and am afraid that I'll forget to post it before time is up. ;) Please tell me I'm not the only one who does that!

I am trying to make cards with certain people in mind. This is for my niece Camryn whose middle name is Joy. I'll tuck in a gift card and send this off to her for Valentine's Day. Since she is the little Hawaiian girl herself, I used some flowers that I found for 99 cents in the wedding aisle at M's to put in Dahlia's (TGF) hair:

I used last week's The Pink Elephant sketch (see? I'm already late for that one! lol!) but also did it for Anya Ink's challenge of no printed designer paper. The bazzill base has that wonderful texture, and with my new MS border punch and CB'd white piece, I didn't even miss using patterned paper at all.
Thank you for popping by this late! See you tomorrow with the Raise The Bar challenge.
Happy rest of your evening and good night...

Easel with Izzy

Hello everyone (again)! My first post for Sunshine and Giggles is found below. Janice is having a DT call and debuting a new site so be sure to check it out!

I keep making these cards for challenges and not getting them in on time, so I decided to do a double post before I forget.

This is my first easel card, and I promise to contain myself and not do these everyday. haha! I just loved it! It's so fun to make, what a great way to showcase a card on itself.
Here are the challenges I used with this adorable new image named Izzy (Twinkle Tots line) by The Greeting Farm:

Anya Ink : color challenge {blue and orange}
Anyone For Anya?: recipe challenge {3 papers, 2 buttons, 1 bow}
Crazy 4 Challenges: Easel card
Card Patterns: Sketch challenge

A closer peek (just because I finally stopped being lazy and embossed the image first):

I received some new N copics in the mail as an early HB present! I was so happy to color Izzy up with them.
Thank you for popping in to see me! Have a wonderful rest of your day my friends.

Farming on the weekend!

Happy Saturday everyone!
Normally I try to give you a break from my rambling but I wanted to get my Anya in before the challenges ended. ;) There are so many wonderful sites that challenge you to use your stash of The Greeting Farm rubber.
This is a sketch that I used from TGF's Fresh Farm Friday:

Jessica's sketch was so fun to work with! I love when the image is the focal point of a card, especially if it's a cutie like Sing. I also made this card with two other Anya-loving challenge sites:
Anya Ink's challenge of pink and brown (thank you Tammy for the info!)
and Anyone for Anya's 'You're Anya' challenge to design a card that represents who you are. Let's just say that Sing and I have a lot in common!
Here she is closer up:

I added freckles to Anya's face as I have been cursed - er - blessed with them myself. I wanted to go with the Hawaiian theme for obvious reasons, and although it has been a while since I touched an ukulele, I still listen to my music to remind me of home.
And speaking of, look at this cute little eyelet phrase I found in my stash:

Perfect for my card! Here's a couple of other tidbits about me that makes me love Sing so much:
~*I am always in slippers (flip flops as it is known here). I don't care if there's snow out, I still wear them to check the mail then regret it afterwards.
~*Every Thursday, another football mom and I show up at the game with our flowers in our hair to cheer on our boys. You can't miss us in the bleachers. :D
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I will be back tomorrow with a fun post regarding Whimsie Doodles - you won't want to miss it!
