Get-Oh Fabulous Friday!

Wow! This week flew by for me, I hope it did for you in a happy way as well.
Today will be short and sweet, as I know we have lots of fun stuff in store before kicking off the long weekend.
I am always on the hunt for items to re-purpose. One day I realized my ink pad stacks were a bit of a problem as well as an eyesore. Any time I wanted a pad on the bottom, I would have to cross my fingers and hope that it wouldn't have a domino effect. Here's something that I found for $2.75 at the thrift store:
I am not sure what it used to be, some have suggested a cassette or 8 track holder. It is actually standing on its side and has a name plate that reads "Property of Matthew" - haha! Whatever it used to be, I assumed it would be perfect for my stamp pads and was pleasantly surprised that it worked out well.

Had I not found this, I was going to attempt this project which is featured on SCS's gallery under the username molar101:

Isn't that pretty neat? It's made out of white foam core boards that you use for projects. Be sure to use a very sharp utility knife to keep the edges clean. This was her own take on another member's project which she credits in her gallery. You can customize it to hold stickles, ribbon, EP, glitter, etc. (see pic below out of wenchi's gallery). I thought this was so innovative, especially the way she made the fronts like moulding.

Tomorrow I will be announcing a fun little contest - I hope you come join us!
Thank you all for visiting, I wish you all a happy day~
*Love and Aloha*

You sure are quite the creative bargain hunter! This is great...and I bet "Matthew" never thought that what once likely held his cassettes or 8-tracks would someday be holding ink pads, hahaha!
Great job on another cool find!

Great job with the organizers! I love 're-purposing' items and the fact that you created another out of foam core is amazing! TFS and inspiring me to take another look at our thrift store, too.

What a great find! I have the SU stamp carosel but it doesn't hold all of the stamps and in order for it to turn it takes up half the shelf of my bookcase. I keep the rest of the stamps in a basket from Michaels but have to 'hunt' every time I need one. Thank you for the ideas!

Ideas for cheap storage are just what I need. Who want to spend money on storage when there are stamps to be bought?
Cute blog!
