Hello everyone! I hope your weekend went well. :D Mine was uneventful until early Sunday evening when our 8 mth old got a little adventurous. He's fine, but the entire night was dedicated to his well being. I didn't get as much stamping done as I intended to, but taking care of him was much more important.
Last night was the deadline to enter the Anya Fashion Show challenge that I posted about. I wanted to do 2 more entries, but ended up just finishing entry #2. Here she is, Red Carpet Anya!
As usual, this isn't the best photo. I really really need to read my new camera manual. There are stars in that entire DP area right above her and the whole background is this shimmery light blue. There are soooo many beautiful and clever entries in her challenge! You can see them all here.
I already feel like a winner, Marie is giving away this new Ian military set to anyone who has an active duty family member. All you have to do is send her an email with a picture of him/her in uniform by January 15th. How wonderful of her!
Now on to other fun stuff!
I love alliteration and naming things, so I have decided to call it "Money Saving Monday." I am fortunate to get out and shop by myself on Sundays while DH hangs out at home with our kiddos. So, for this edition of MSM, I wanted to show you what I got from Michaels:
This week selected papers (that are already on clearance, make sure they are tagged red) are 7 for $1. Now I know that you can buy paper packs with a 40% off coupon for a good price, but being able to select a specific variety for your projects is the best part. Our Michaels had a huge selection, and all the paper shown here is of good quality. Some are thicker than others, but they're all neat designs. In total there are 81 pages shown here, many of my favorite designs are stacked, anywhere from 5-10 sheets. That big blurb of pink on the top left is 16 of the same design for a Mary Kay party invitation that I am making for a representative.
Another great find is the Ott light. These are the same ones that they sell at Michaels and JoAnns, and at all major hobby and crafting stores, but even with a coupon I couldn't bring myself to purchase one. However, at Tuesday Morning, the desktop model (similar to this one) is $14.99 and the standing floor lamp (ditto) is only $29.99! WOW! Now these stores generally are not the most organized, but for this price? It was definitely worth the patience.
Have a wonderful Monday everyone! Smiling makes the day go by faster. :D
*Love and Aloha*

Will have to check out our Tuesday Mornings, what a great find!
Hey Miss Joni, my first chance to take a look at your blog and I'm glad that I did. Possibly you could help me. I am working on my babyshower book. I did one for our old commander's wife and it turned out sooooo cute that I wanted to do one for my shower that is coming up. HOWEVER, sniff.... I went online and a lot of my favorite places have went out of business (recession?). I went to the standard places like twopeas, addictedto, cherryontop, joanns and they don't have anything in an 8X8 album. Any suggestions?
Loves and Hugs, pam
P.s. Just got word we are heading to Leavenworth. Miss you!
