It's Get-Oh Fabulous Friday!

TGIF everyone! I won't hold you for very long, I know it's the kickoff to a great weekend, but I wanted to show you all what I have been doing with these little end scraps of ribbon. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that I had accumulated quite a few little pieces. I hate throwing them away but didn't know exactly what to do with them. Most of these are ends of spools, trimmed pieces that I thought I would use, or cut offs at the end of a project. The answer was on my head! Well, actually, more like in my hair...

I started tying them around an extra ponytail holder that I keep at my craft desk. The ones that I prefer are thicker elastic ones that don't tug at the hair and won't get flmsy with the weight of the ribbon.
By simply knotting the scrap pieces of ribbon around it, they make these fun little hair ties. Of course I won't be the one using these (so I claim - teehee!) but I do have 3 daughters that will. This would also make fun little favors, and if they are age appropriate, why not have the girls do these themselves for a party activity? You'll be able to put your scraps to use and keep them busy while you cut the pizza. ;)

If you have several elastic bands you could easily categorize them into different color families or patterns. Of course this is quite an eclectic mix of ribbon on mine, just the way I like it! Hope you all have a wonderful Friday! Don't forget that tomorrow is the last day for Gabby's heart template challenge, upload your pics under BLOGC3 in SCS' gallery. *Love and Aloha*

Super cute Joni! You could always get pony beads and tie them to a few of the ends - added interest and added time. Now you have time to pour the Kool-Aid. heehee
