For today, I have a card to show you that I submitted in my Club Anya DT application.

Here is my Geisha Anya, in full regalia. :D There is an amazing DP pack out called Far East by DCWV. It is a no brainer when it comes to Asian cards as they have the most incredible designs. This particular page features a beautiful Geisha and all these flowing scarves and blossoms around her. I used a part of it as a background for Anya, and although it is a little busier than my normal cards, I decided to use it anyway for my application. It was kind of like using a beaded sequined gown for a pageant instead of my usual sweats. HAHA!
I hand beaded her obi belt and headdress with SU beads. That was probably the most time consuming. I also came across a handful of umbrellas that I bought for a summer swap. This one was a good match but I altered it a little to make it look more like a geisha's parasol as opposed to an umbrella in a Pina Colada. ;) Here was the most stressful part of it all - at the last minute I decided to freehand her lips with my copic. What a dork! That should have been the FIRST step! I realized after I did it that IF I messed it up, I was in serious trouble. Fortunately they came out the way I wanted to with my first attempt. I will never do that again.
Before I leave you all with wonderful weekend wishes, I wanted to share a blog that I found through Ashley's blog that is giving away a Cricut! YES! You read right! An actual Cricut. Danielle of Life One Layout At A Time is giving away a Cricut and a Bind It All to the 1000th and 1500th post on her blog entry. Please tell her that I sent you! :D
