Yippee! Friday is here!

Hi everyone!
Happy day to you. :D Although everyday feels like a Friday to me I love it when it is actually here. I hope you have wonderful plans for this weekend? I know that there are some serious new releases going on, GinaK had her release party last night and there are two blog hops that I know of happening this Sunday: Paper Makeup Stamps & The Greeting Farm - fun!
Happy news, our new computer is fresh again! DH is so patient, I swear. He transferred everything to disc, wiped out the computer, then made it all pretty again. Yippee! However, now all of my pictures are on 6 CDRs that I have to sort through. Even my digis! Ack!
Regardless, I am happy that it's back up again. It was tough having just one working computer in this household. I didn't want to bother him while he was working on it so I colored quietly. haha!
Here is a card that I made for Gael's Barn swap over at SCS. I actually had a vision of this layout one evening and couldn't wait to see if it would work. I was worried that it would be too bulky with all the layering, but then decided not to put them on dimensionals as planned. There was something kind of cute with them all being on top of each other like this, as happy as they were to share their space with one another. Hey, this is the way I feel in my house!
After designing the sentiment, I realized that it kind of looked like the county fair award ribbons. teehee! I must say that this Mcplendid Farm set is too fun to color. I even added brown mud all over the piggy faces just for fun. And I have to say that the distressed stripes CB folder is probably my new favorite!
Here is another card that I finished up this evening. Isn't this frog just the cutest stamp? (Note: I don't even care for frogs, it's an acquired fear from my mom.) He is from Whimsy stamps and I found him on All That Scraps with a gift certificate. I love his smitten look, so dreamy and happy. (This is probably what I looked like watching my computer repairman tonight. LOL!)

I lost some of the doodles when I cut him out so I tried to copy it exactly on to the water and for his eyebrows. I drew in the cattails towards him and loved how this card was sort of leaning to one side. :D
And finally, here is an altoid tin that I made for a friend's bday. She's kind of a girly girl so I thought I'd make it in reds and pinks and throw in a pair of earrings in it. I have so many altoid tins to play with - I purchased a huge plastic bag full at a thrift store for 50 cents. I know they wanted to ask what I was going to do with it. What a great find, now I can alter my heart out.
Have a wonderful Friday everyone, and an even more pleasant weekend. Tomorrow I'll be posting this week's Super Saturday challenge (it's a sketch!) hosted by Mel and I am scheduled to be part of the Paper Makeup blog hop this Sunday, stop by and say hello! :D
*Love and Aloha*

Oh, I love when I can see what you've made after hearing all about it! Your entry for Gael's swap is so sweet!!

I want the frog!! Ack! I can't believe I missed buying him with my gc. Your card is fantastic and I'd kiss that little guy and not care if he didn't turn into a handsome prince.

Your tin is cute! You inspire to alter something and then I realize I'm not you and give up. LOL
