Card Forecast:Temperature in the low 80s...

Hi everyone! First off, I realized that I am the Goldilocks of blog backgrounds. You know, as in "this background is tooo dark" or "this background is toooo Easter-y." haha!! So for now, this background is just right! :D I had to change the look when I saw this one, it pays homage to the little birdy who comes to our backyard and sings every morning. I swear I feel like Cinderella when I hear her! Perched up on its branch, it looks like she's peeking in at all the houses in my blog header. ;) And it looks like she's reading my posts. heehee!

Okay, so I don't know about you but I am soooo ready for warmer weather! It's April for goodness sake, and some of you are still getting snow! :( Since I can't promise you any warm balmy Hawaii weather, I thought I'd at least try with a card...

Isn't he hilarious?!?! He's from The Digi Shack and boy, he's definitely one happy guy! I thought this image would be perfect for a Father's or FIL's day card. I know so many guys that look like this, without a care in the world and just happy to have the day off.
Does that paper look familiar? By now it's obvious that I am missing warm weather and the beach, this is the second card I've made with Paper Pizzazz's Pool Water DP. (My first was my little fish bowl.) To celebrate this guy's special day, I used ribbon scraps to make a happy little rainbow over him. (And believe it or not, I came up with the idea all by myself! Yep yep yep! I did! I did!)
I wanted to show more depth with the image so I let his left foot dangle off the square a bit, like he's dipping his heel into the blue water. He's colored with cop-mas (my copics and prismas). Check out his sunburn on his nose and under his neck. lol! I just had to do that! I also sponged in the clouds using a handmade template and an SU Tempting Turquoise stamp pad, the sentiment is an oldie but goodie from SU as well.
I hope he made you smile! Now go crack your heat up to 83* and whip up a margarita. You deserve it! Until soon!
*Love and Aloha*

OMG! thanks for the laugh!!! love that guy! wish I could be doing that right now :) oh well, at least we seem to have the same weather...me & your card, of course. Thanks for the comment about my ring. I can't agree more that it doesn't make the marriage. DH is a mechanic and they're not allowed to wear any jewelry as they'd melt!!!
