A sketch, a sample, and a no-inky fingers solution!

Hi everyone, we are almost to the weekend! Woohoo! Thank you for your concerns and well wishes. I'm doing fine, just crabby. haha! I just want to elevate it, watch a good movie and eat bon bons, but for 6 different reasons (in my sidebar ;)) I am actually doing it more good making sure it stays limber. Okay, I've been blabbing too much lately. You know I have! So I will let the pics do more of the talking. ;)

It's Thursday! Which means a new challenge over at The Digi Shack. Mandy has come up with this awesome sketch. Seriously, I can think of a gazillion possibilities with this:

Isn't it great? It's her first sketch! I look forward to many more from her as she is our official Challenge Coconut.
Here's my take on it:

The image is from The Digi Shack, of course. Isn't this baby so sweet? I love the expression on his face! I just randomly cut out the flames, I didn't want them too severe as he is still pretty innocent. I found this great corner punch and thought it looked dungeon-y. ;) The sentiment is by SU and the background was done with the swirl CB folder. I want you to try this sketch! The DT has some amazing samples - click HERE to see them all. Upload it into SCS' gallery under TDSC03, and leave a comment on the main blog HERE so we can all ooh and ahhh over yours.

And finally, a quick tip to avoid inky fingers when you're sponging.
See this pink guy? It's just a chip bag holder. That's my dirty sponge next to it. I am so cheap that I cut the SU ones down into 8 wedges and use every possible side before I wash it out and try to ink it up again. lol! And here's what I do when I need to ink edges, make clouds, or sponge around an image:No more inky fingers! I was notorious for smudging an image or a card before I started doing this. You can also use a clothespin, binder clip, anything that will hold a sponge while giving you a good grip. Now I know this qualifies for a Get-Oh Fabulous Friday post, but there was NO WAY I could add it on to tomorrow's surprise! So enjoy your Thursday, then come back over here tomorrow, you'll be part of history. LOL!
*Love and Aloha*
