What a Wednesday that was, another goof mistake, and a couple of woohoos!

Hi everyone! Yesterday had to be one of the busiest (and most fun) days ever! First of all, I want to thank Toni and The Digi Shack Coco-nuts (haha! Just kidding girls!) for a fun grand opening. Her cherry blossoms image is fabulous, isn't it? The DT created the most amazing samples. Their blogs are in my sidebar, just click on their names to see what wonderful cards they created.

The possibilities are endless with that image and sketch! If you want inspiration for cherry blossom colors, google it and be amazed at all the wonderful hues they have. Don't forget that the sketch challenge is due on the 21st, link up your work by leaving a comment HERE on TDS' blog. Tomorrow I will also have another FREEBIE from Toni to give you all! It's so SWEET!! ;) Just like her! The 50% off sale ended last night, but with those prices in her store? It's SO worth going all the time!

So here's my crazy late afternoon story...

Yesterday I woke up and remembered that we needed a new card to share for the Club Anya blog hop. There were over 50+ blogs! YOWZERS! So I woke up, created a card that's been in my head, and then hung out with a friend that I've known for 10 years. Amazing that we're in the same place again considering both of our DHs are in the army! She used to be my SU upline, intro'd me to the world of stamping years and years ago. She was in the DC area and brought her two kiddos that I've known since they were little. We ate lunch, gabbed, took a tour of my craft mess, got her addicted to copics (lol!), ate dinner (yes, we hung out that long) and just visited. It was wonderful! That is...

...until I realized that there were some specifics to the blog hop. ACK! I totally used the wrong image!! Now that wouldn't have been too much of a problem, I could have just posted the card, but I am a rule follower. I drive the speed limit. I let everyone merge in front of me. I stop at a sign for 5 seconds and then proceed. It bothered me so much that I had to come up with another card after dinner - and quick! But I had to do it with social graces that my mom taught me, as I had guests over.

Long story short (too late), I did manage to get one done in the nick of time as soon as Marcella and her family left around 6:30pm. LOL! I posted it probably a few minutes late but talk about a hurricane in my craft room! I was literally running around trying to find all of the supplies I needed for my card, moving stuff to the floor, putting things on my chair, pushing stuff to the sides of the table. haha! In the end, I was happy with my results, but oh wow. What a lesson learned! (If you're interested in seeing the card, it's HERE in the post below. :D I was asked via email to do a tutorial so I think I will next week.)

With that said, I've decided to post the 'other' card that I made because - quite frankly - before I realized my OOPS, I was pretty happy with this one!! HAHA!

What a funny card now that I look at it...that's me (Peter) just chilling, not knowing that the alligator was about to eat all of my time and organization up yesterday. haha!

Here are some basic deets on the card:

I am really enjoying drawing again. The girls are asking me all the time to make them something special, then they run off to color it. It would be much easier if they used their 700 coloring books but I LOVE it! Having them dictate what they want and then be super pleased gives me so much joy.

Okay, sorry, back to the card. So I drew the cliff by freehand on gray cardstock, then sponged it with different inks. I cut out the last bit of my pool water DP using a scalloped scissors the other way. The purple background cardstock was just sponged over with different shades of gray and brown ink. Peter was colored in with copmas, with just a bit of bling on his belt.

I drew the croc on a piece of dark green paper, then ran him through my CB using the tiny bubbles folder. I added the googlie eyes but he didn't look angry enough so I cut out two strips of black cs for mad eyebrows, then added his scales along his back, and then his white sharp tooth. I punched out a white circle then sponged it over as well to look like a cloudy and dark moon. I hope you enjoyed this "Oops" card! My lesson learned (again!) on following instructions. HAHA!

And one more great piece of news for me and you: Modern Sugar Blvd. decided to keep the Top 20 (+1) as their whole Design Team! Woohoo! So...I will be drawing a total of 5 (yes, 5!) names using random.org for that candy I promised. I have NOTHING planned today, so I will use my time wisely and get myself and the craft room together. ;) Happy Thursday to you all! See you tomorrow! *Love and Aloha*
