Fluttering about after the weekend

Hi everyone! I loved our long weekend, and I hope yours went just as well. Can you believe it's almost the middle of the week already? Woohoo! ;)

I am in a fairy swap hosted by my friend Melissa that I signed up for a looooong time ago. It's due on June 1st. Ack! After several ideas that just didn't wow me, I ended up using a sentiment from SU and this sweet fairy Chloe from The Greeting Farm on a spinner card. She's the cutest of all 3 in my opinion. :D
I wanted her to flutter from flower to flower but in order to do that, I couldn't just make an A2 card...it had to be an A10 (business size envy). I am breaking the rules, what a rebel!

If you haven't seen the spinner tutorial on SCS' techinques forum, go and check it out. It's so super easy, especially if you own the slot punch from Stampin' Up. These sunflowers were made with 2 different size scalloped punches. All you do is trim each scallop down a bit, no need to be perfect as they are covered with the next layer. I got this fabulous tip from my friend Tammy who always has really neat tutorials.

Here is a closer look at Chloe and the flowers:

She is colored with copics, her dress and wings are stickled. See how easy the flower is? I ran my brown circle through the swiss dots CB folder. I could make sunflowers all day long. ;)

btw, thank you for your sweet comments on my digi drawing, I plan on showing another one sometime this week that accomodates one of my latest card making habits. Got you wondering, eh? heehee! Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!
