Hands on your hips...

...now "Show Us Your Hula!!"
Happy Wednesday everyone! Hold on a second, put your shoes back on and wait for the music while I explain a bit more. :) "Show Us Your Hula" is a new contest going on at The Digi Shack this week using the new Lani line of stamps created by Lindsay Owens. Lani (meaning "heavenly" in Hawaiian) is showcased in 3 images that are available HERE.

All you have to do is purchase any of these images (or all - teehee!) and create a card/3D project using Lani. The winner will receive - hold on to your coconuts - ALL the new releases for this week! WHAT? Yes, you heard/read correctly. Toni is going to send the lucky ducky a CD with all the newly released images. Pretty tropical, eh?
So here's what I did with Hula Lani:

Perfect timing, as DD is invited to a friend's bday party with a luau theme. I created this bag using my friend Tammy's tutorial found HERE on her blog. It's so addicting, all it takes is a 12x12 piece of DP or cardstock, scissors, and adhesive. I added some hibiscus ribbon for the handles, adhered Lani to a top note die, and then some primas to cover a mistake. HAHA! (Come on, you know you all do that once in a while...) There's a flip flop note pad, Hawaiian themed stickers, a drink umbrella, pens, and other little goodies that a 9yo will hopefully enjoy.

So show us YOUR hula! Read more of the deets and comment on this post HERE on the Digi Shack's blog with a link to your entry, contest ends on May 15th. The DT and Toni will ponder over all the incredible entries and announce the winner on May 20th. There's also several other fun contests going on this week - check this post HERE to vote for the name of our Design Team and then keep partying with us all week long. Have a super Wednesday everyone, a hui hou! (<---that just means 'until we meet again')
*Love and Aloha*

OH MY this is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Stinkin cute!!! I love it. I don't knoiw how to Hula :( maybe one day I will learn lol.

This is adorable and yes the prima flower 'cover-up' is like a key element of card making :P too funny - I have been known to have to cover mistakes here and there, but it's the finished project that matters.

Your DD is going to look so cute carrying this around for her party. Flashing it about saying "my Mom made this" lol. You know we will need to see pictures now hehehehe :)

You are such a sweetie! Thanks for the shout out! I love what you did. I didn't even think of using the printed acetate cardstock for the handles. Great Idea.
