Excuse me, I had GAS.

The Great American Scrapbook Convention, that is!
Hi everyone! I hope your weekend went well? I am so excited to share some pics from Friday that I took at GAS here at Chantilly, VA. Although I have lived here for almost 4 years, this was the first time that I could attend. I was thrilled!

On to some fun pictures:
Floor of the Expo (lots of make and takes!)
Crazy shoppers and plenty of merchandise
Inky Antics kiosk

Doodlebug display

(and her daughter in the pink shirt)

more embellis from Dollar Scrapbooking

A sweet demo at Inky Antics (fabulous work with pencils and gamsol)

FUN STUFF! There were so many wonderful and enthusiastic vendors, awesome products and demonstrations, and copics for $3.67! ACK! I can't find them anywhere in the area so it was a treat to see them all displayed.
Here's a question I asked one of the ladies - Copics should be stored upright or flat? The answer? Either way!!! Because they are such high quality markers, it doesn't matter how they are stored. In fact, they receive their copics shipped upright and the containers are made to hold them that way. (I still think mine will stay flat, this way I can see their ends better. :D)

The convention was so much fun, and the funniest thing was one of my fellow DT members was there and we didn't even know it. :P Sorry Nikki! I'll make sure we communicate better next time. haha!

I was soooo behaved, and just bought a few products that I have been wanting to try for a while: clear cs, flower soft, more copics, fun embellis and a few other goodies that I can't remember but had to have. lol! One lady was in line at the Dollar Scrapbooking kiosk (awesome customer service, btw, I have ordered from them in the past) with a shopping basket overflowing with embellishments. Literally, like almost falling out. Don't you just love it when someone else is worse than you?!?!

Thank you to my DH who took the day off so I could experience GAS ;) and thanks for popping by on this beautiful Monday morning. Have a wonderful day everyone!
*Love and Aloha*

It looks like so much fun! I wouldn't know where to start & what to look at! BTW, what color do you use to color the blonde hair on Anya & Ian? I like copy!

Wow, it looks like there was a ton of yummy stuff to drool over! I woulda snatched up a ton of copics for that price! I wish there was something around here like that, but not here in Italy, impossible I'm sure. I'll just have to wait until I get back to the states. So what did you get???

Girl, you are hysterical!! I wish I had known you were there :( Maybe next year!! I was on a mission to buy Nesties-- so I was on a mission (not a lot of browsing!) I'm glad you had fun-- and found someone being way worse than you! You should have taken a picture of that lady's basket to show your husband for proof!!

I'm jealous! When I lived in CA there was always a show going on someplace ~ not here. They are always too far away for me. Glad you had fun, I remember those days *Ü*
Hugs,
