Soo...how was your long weekend? I had such a nice time relaxing with the family, and our base holds a wonderful fireworks show. All we had to do is drive about a half mile up the hill and we had perfect view of the sparkling sky. And DH is still off today so I am spoiled. ;)
Here's a quick little card I made yesterday while everyone was full from the leftover bbq. ;)
Fun, right? And super easy. I didn't even follow any template, I just winged it. All you do is cut the cardstock down the 11" way (cut at 4.25"). I measured an inch in, an inch down, then took my SU circle punch to cut it out.
Next I scored about .5" down from the top on both sides so that when I placed the eyelets (holding the ribbon), I would have a bend to open the card up.
Attach eyelets, loop ribbon through and voila!
With an extra scrap I made a pocket and popped it up on dimensionals.
See this sentiment?
Adorable!!! It's from Melyssa's Whimsie Doodles line! OMword, they are 99 cents for a handful of these button sentiments. Have you ever seen a better or cuter deal?!?
As you can see, I am still in that picnic-bbq-celebration mode.
And speaking of celebration, I have some fun news to share!
A new challenge site is opening up tomorrow called Tuesday Morning Sketches. Cute name, right? And I love that it falls on a Tuesday because my head is still foggy on Mondays.
Mel is starting her own challenge site, and she has a bunch of fun companies lined up to sponsor each week including Dino-mite Dustin Pike (heehee), the awesome Melyssa of Whimsie Doodles (shown above), Toni - my coconut Maui Wowie boss, the sassy Modern Sugar Blvd, the adorable Sunshine and Giggles, and then there's me. LOL! :D JK!
Mel asked me - via Inktegrity - to sponsor this week's challenge. I am so excited because I am fabulous at sketches, right? ;) haha! So what are you still doing here? Head on over to the new challenge blog HERE and become a follower. If you refer someone, there's a little extra something special for you. We loooove something special, don't we? So have a wonderful day, and come back tomorrow for the first Tuesday Morning sketch!
*Love and Aloha*

Adorable Apron!!! I just love the projects you create!
I love that apron!!! I have been eye-ing that button sentiment for a while. Got to go get some. Hehe!
What a great card! Simplicity with a lot of pizzaz! I love that set, I bought the day Melyssa released them. Have I been able to play yet, well, uh... no. But I will be.
What a fun card and perfect for a bbq invite.
Isn't this so cute!! What a fab idea!
