ShortCuts to Whimsies

Hi everyone and a very happy Monday to you!

Wow - what a weekend that was in the stamping world, right? It was amazing seeing all these blog hops going on, new releases everywhere and meeting so many new friends through it all. I loved it! I still don't feel like things have calmed down which is always a good thing. We crafters know how to live it up. ;)
I have some exciting Whimsie Doodles news to share with you all - this month we are teaming up with ShortCuts for an awesome cross promotion! How wonderful is that? I was so excited to receive a package of their goodies in the mail to create, I couldn't wait to start playing with it all. Thank you Alicia!
For today, I am showing you a new sketch that Shortcuts just released in their newsletter:

Beautiful, right? and here is my take:

I am truly in love with Shortcuts' clear cardstock! It's like a magical piece of paper. Of course it takes some practice, you have to make sure your accents are cut well otherwise it shows up like a sore thumb. (<---yeah, I should know. lol!) I incoporated different images from Whimsie Doodles new back to school line and added squares of DCWV's Grade School pack as the squares.

This card was so fun to make, I am totally prepared for the school year with all these projects! If you haven't visited ShortCuts or Sheetload yet, stop by for a visit and also to download their free Ezine HERE which is full of wonderful ideas and information.
And be sure to pop in on the Whimsie Doodles blog HERE to see if you were one of the lucky winners of Melyssa's blog candy with all her wonderful new images. :D
Have the best Monday everyone, thank you so much for stopping by!
*Love and Aloha*
