Hello and a very happy Friday to you all! Wowza, that felt like a long week didn't it? Nevertheless, it is here, I am here, and all is well. ;)
First off, I know it's the anniversary of 9/11 and I didn't want it go unsaid here on my blog. I live about 15 minutes away from the Pentagon, and today will be full of guest speakers, remembrance and prayers in our Washington DC area. Being so close to one of the sites always brings me back to what matters most and to not take anything for granted. With that said, thank you for coming by to visit me today. I know that the world is full of great people everywhere.
So a couple of reminders: Monday is the last day to enter my blog candy HERE and HERE. Yes! Two spots! And the Inktegrity blog giveaway is actually a bit higher, the current gc amount is currently at $30. Woohoo!
Also on the Inktegrity blog is a sneaky deaky of what's to come on Monday. Omword, I think this is the most fun release yet. You won't want to miss it, especially if you have children and love October. ;) Go and take a guess as to what it is! Click HERE to comment...
Now on to our regularly scheduled program...
Today's post is so special to me because I have the chance to show off a friend's digi image. Lori Boyd is thinking about going digital and I totally agree!
Here's her test sample image:
You can find her on Lori's blog HERE as a freebie. Isn't she a cutie patootie? I always envision little girly images like this as a spinner card, just because it twirls around. It's as if she's doing a sweet curtsy as a thank you.
Here it is in slow motion. (lol!)
I printed this mouse twice, colored her in, and then sandwiched SU's linen thread between nesties. I used the color challenge on The Pink Elephant of red, black, yellow and white. That red and yellow polka dot DP was a RAK a couple of years ago and is part of a TAC stack.
A closer look at the deets and linen thread, which is adhered in between the layers:
The prima, ribbon and button were from various SCS swaps, the leaves are made with an EK Success punch, and her dress is stickled with Candy Cane. ABC Challenge also has a current requirement to use "D for Die Cuts," I think I've used 5 different ones for this sweetie!
Thank you again for coming by, it means the world to me. I hope today brings you more joy than you expected, have a wonderful Friday everyone!
*Love and Aloha*
