Trash is gone, it's FRIDAY!

Hello and a happy Friday to you!
Trash is taken, bin is rolled back to the driveway, now it's time to start the extended holiday weekend. :D

I love making cards, but altering items brings me so much satisfaction. It's relaxing and such a fun way to use my supplies on a larger canvas. I wanted to show you a little baby tin that I made with a new set from Inktegrity using one of my many recycled items.
For my project, I used an empty clear container that used to hold flowers from Michaels. I don't like to throw away anything, especially if it would make awesome storage or a gift with a bit of tweaking. ;)

Here is the clear can, altered with the tugboat image & a sentiment from A Little Tug.
For this 10 minute project, I cleaned up the can (mostly adhesive from the label) and wrapped the handle in ribbon. I reattached it, but with primas on both ends for decorative purpose.

Using the wonderful cloud DP, I faux stitched the top end then adhered it with my ATG, my choice for any altered project. Be careful - it's just a little forgiving so you have to be sure to wholeheartedly commit once you're ready. (I'm sure a female designed it - lol!)
I had a nice scrap piece of baby blue ric rac which worked well as ocean waves. The tugboat was printed on DP, and since it was light enough, I could simply color in the areas that I wanted to be different: Inkssentials white opaque pen on the lifesavers, and then W3 copic on the other areas.

The top of the lid was so quick to make - just a Marvy Giga scalloped punch, then I layered on the coordinating sentiment that was printed on the same DP. These buttonhole sentiments are made to feature a little something in the middle: a button, brad, eyelet, or in this case, a prima. I got this idea - and blessings - from Melyssa of Whimsie Doodles (who, btw, has been an awesome mentor in my ventures. TY Melyssa!!)
Here is the set in its entirety:

A Little Tug $1.99 USD

A Little Tug is one of 5 transportation sets of the Going Places series found HERE. (The coordinating backgounds to all these sets can be seen today on the Inktegrity blog.)

Thank you all so much for coming by! I wish you a wonderful Friday, I will be back all weekend long with more new releases from The Digi Shack and Whimsie Doodles. *Love and Aloha*
