What day is it?!?! And a 'Major' issue...

Haha! Hi everyone and happy Tuesday to you! Since it was an extended weekend here in the states, I kept pretending everyday was Saturday. I even spontaneously decided to not blog yesterday. Oh yeah, I am a wild woman indeed.

Since I missed a Sunday and Monday posting, I will be showing all the cards that I had scheduled throughout this week. I am sure you will be tired of me by Wednesday. ;)

Well what's my 'Major' issue?

My 14yo DS is now a Mount Vernon High School Major! Yes, today is his first day of high school and as I type this I want to cry. Where does the time go? So yesterday I made this card for him (using this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches' layout) that was sitting at the breakfast table when he woke up:

From the time I can remember, Kalil always had an interest in football. I would have never thought this day would come so soon when he would start high school and be a quarterback for the freshman football team. The Majors' colors are maroon and dark gray, so I color coordinated it with his new alma mater. There is an awesome challenge over at Digital Tuesday challenge to use a child digi image on a card so I pulled Game Day from my Inktegrity site.

Here is the inside before I wrote in it and dropped tears all over the ink (JK!):

Their first scrimmage is this Saturday and I will be a nervous wreck. I know he'll do well , I know I won't. haha! Maybe I should stay home and make cards instead...

And finally, here is this week's awesome sketch by Melissa:

I did leave out the wonderful ribbon element across the card, I tried several attempts without cluttering up the card, but ended up just apologizing to Mel. ;)

I am sure you can come up with some wonderful ideas! This week TMS is being sponsored by Pez-A-Doodles, a wonderful company that is based in West Virginia. I just placed an order from her store found HERE, and btw, wonderful customer service Marti!

You can linky up your dinky HERE on the TMS site, I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
Have an incredible Tuesday everyone! I am going to count down the hours until 4 of my kiddos are done with school. ;) At least I have 2 more here at home to keep my busy...

*Love and Aloha*
