Well it was time to change my blog header so I decided to incorporate that with my little monthly challenge to myself to try something new.
Today's little technique that I tried (key word) was to enlarge a diorama. It was an attempt to provide a home for my altered Greeting Farm images to recreate a nativity scene:
You can find the original diorama instructions HERE on the SCS resources page. For my dwelling, I re-sized it to 9"x10" (these are the measurements before folding, and before the roof was cut at a slant), then followed the regular directions. My goal was to get a little more depth for the nativity scene so that they would look like they were tucked inside of it.
Here are my characters of my little scene:
Angel Anya
Shepherd Boy
Dress Me Ian, Birthday Boy Ian, and Dress Me Anya
The horse was peeking in just to say hello, he knows he really is supposed to be a donkey. ;)
There are so many wonderful challenges for Christmas so I thought I would enter this in:
All That Scraps & Anya Ink.
All That Scraps & Anya Ink.
Yesterday was so beautiful outside, but much too windy for pictures. I was a bit bummed as I wanted to set up a very natural setting for my nativity scene. However, I was pleased when I saw that my Ott light cast a glow from above with the open diorama! Yay for improv!
Thank you all for coming by, I hope you enjoy the rest of this beautiful Friday. Make sure to take some time out for yourselves this weekend, the Christmas shopping can wait. ;)
*Love and Aloha*
