Raise The Bar! Woot woot!

Hi friends and HAPPY FRIDAY to you all!

I am so excited because my kiddos all have a four day weekend. Yeah! And it's supposed to snow so I am armed and ready with my embossing gun and stamps, ready for hibernation.

Well it's Friday, which means that today is our new challenge over at Raise The Bar.

This week I am asking you, begging you, pleading with you, to use that old DP that you have tucked away to gather dust. ;)

 

Recognize this one? Stampin'Up - circa 2006! I admit, I am sure I have older paper, but this one kept looking at me with sad eyes. :( 

I made this with the current Tuesday Morning Sketches layout as it worked well with my idea to make that flower the focal point. I also distressed for Ooh La La Creation's latest challenge since it worked well with the DP and shabby chic flower.

And speaking of the flower:

 

Suuuper duper easy. I first saw it on my fellow TSRD Maylee's blog, who then linked me to Dawn's blog where she has a wonderful video tutorial. It is 5 scalloped punch flowers stacked together, then held in place with a brad. That's it! But she does a wonderful job showing how to roll and crumple the layers in. Really fun, I have already done quite a few of them but need to hold back from using them on every card I make. heehee!
