DCRU Challenge 29 <--I'm hosting!

Helloooo friends and happy Tuesday!
I am so excited to host my first challenge over at Die Cuts R Us. I love being on the DCRU Design Team, they have such a supportive and sweet group of crafters there!
This week we challenge you to use paper flowers on your designs. Since I started making them, I haven't bought any primas. ;)
Here is my sample for this week:

 Eeek! I got to ink up Princess Ava for my project! She is so adorable with that little frog. My 3yo DD loves yellow so I went with this color scheme to enhance that wonderful Basic Grey Origins paper. Since it had an outdoorsy theme, I thought it worked well as a mini forest for this sweet pair. :D
I used the layout from Sweet Sketch Wednesday for my card.
Here is a closer look at those flowers that I made with leftover pieces of the Origins paper:

I also used yummy dew drops in Dark Vanilla as the centers, then added leaves made with my EK Success punch.

{Here is a little tip when making these flowers and using brads to hold them together: Use the brad backwards, so that the prongs are in the front of the flower which helps baubles or buttons lay flatter on the surface.}

Ava and her prince are colored with copics, there is gold stickles on her shoes and crown as well.
Below is the recipe as well as all the links to the incredible products I used on my card that can all be found in the DCRU store HERE, perfect for a one-stop shop!

Basic Grey Origins DP, The Greeting Farm's Princess Ava,
Neenah Solar White cardstock, Nestabilities,
Glue Dots, 3D pop dots, Dew Drops in Dark Vanilla ,Copics, sentiment by Stampin' Up

Come on and join us over at DCRU! Click HERE to link up to your card/project featuring handmade flowers. We will stop by to visit you throughout the week.

Have a beautiful Tuesday everyone, enjoy this God given day and please join me tomorrow for a very special story. ;)
♥ and Aloha
