Raise your Hat!

Happy wonderful Friday everyone!
Phew, what a long week it was here at the Wilson Compound...Our 5 year old has had that back to school cough for 3 days, and all school activities are in full swing! Ack! Not used to being so busy!
But I did have time to color up this cutie for Raise The Bar's newest challenge:

HAT'S OFF!

Use any image with a hat and enter into the fun. For my card I used Cuddle Anya from The Greeting Farm. She's sooo sweet, such a little snuggle bug with her little bear. I also used the current sketch from Papertake Weekly:

Cute sketch, right? :) Thanks Dawny!
Now it's your turn to show us your Hats Off creation! Come on by the blog here to see all the wonderful cards made by the Design Team. Thank you so much for coming by everyone! GUESS WHAT? I am posting TOMORROW with fun and exciting news!! EEEK! I'm going to burst so be sure you're here to see it. lol!

Raise the Weather Bar!

Woohoo! We made it through the week and yes, even though the kids were on Spring Break, no one knows how to sleep in here at the Wilson household. ;)
It's a fabulous Friday and a new challenge over at Raise The Bar!
We had so much fun last week, please come on over and join us in this week's challenge:

April Showers

Create a card using any type of weather inspiration: rain, snow, sunshine, clouds, you name it!
It can be anything from an image, designer papers, decorative ribbon, let's see what you have. :D
For my card, I was inspired by a little tutorial from a magazine that had ribbon stitched together. Brilliant use of scraps! Here is my rainbow card that I came up with:

I used short pieces of ribbon to create a little rainbow. That awesome DP was a small scrap in my stash that worked with my color palette. I come from the land of rainbows so this card makes me very happy!
Here is a closer peek with the stitching:

I purposely left it without a sentiment. This way my mom can send it out for a Get Well, Happy Birthday, or Thinking of You occasion and hopefully it will brighten someone's day!
Here are a couple more challenges that I incorporated:
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
Sisterhood of the Scraps: Use up the scraps!
Thank you for coming by everyone! Tomorrow is a special Easter Hop with DCRU so please pop by and say hello. :D Have a wonderful day!

I lost my "train" of thought...lol!

Hello everyone! And yes, what you read above is true. As I approach 38 (again, I thought I was 38 this year already) I seem to start an idea and then forget what I was going to do with it. haha! So before I forget,
my Blog Candy giveaway ends on Sunday, November 15th. This is the day my mommy and daddy welcomed me into their world, and my siblings groaned in silence. HAHA! Just kidding. But be sure to enter your name for the random drawing by clicking on this pic in my sidebar. ----------->

And before I lose this train, I better show it to you!

Ever since I released this set from my Inktegrity line, I kept wanting to turn it into a happy Christmas train. I finally had the chance to do it last night! It was so much easier than I thought it would be, I hand drew the little tree and cany cane in the car, added lots of liquid app, made a little wreath, and then drew in the curvy lines for the Christmas "lights" (really just dots of stickles and glitter). Here is a closer look:

I had a small circle punch that I used for the wreath, then I did an inverted scallop with deco scissors for the outside. I also finally got to use my MS train border punch, it's so sweet IRL.

Here are the list of challenges for this little card:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday's current layout
One Stop Craft challenge of Cards for Kids
Die Cuts R Us Emboss Something
Digi Kitty Punch it
Papertake Weekly's Digi Sparkle

I piled it on quite a bit today didn't I? haha! I am so happy to finally jump back into challenges again, it's so much fun to see all these wonderful and creative blogs. :D
Have an incredible Thursday everyone, thank you so much for your visit.
