TPE Challenge #134

Happy beautiful Monday everyone!
It's time for a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant, a photo inspiration from Paula Deen's site:
Mmmm...I don't know what I love more - the colors, patterns, or yummy food! ;)
Here is my take on this challenge with Cheeky Beach from The Greeting Farm:

I love her! She's so vintage sassy, I know my mom looked like this back in the day with dark flowy hair and a great tan growing up in Hawaii. ;)
I used different scraps of papers but used Stampin' Up for the turquoise base, I recently met a demo who was having an open house and discovered that she was the #1 rep for Stampin' Up in 2010. WOWZA, right? Total royalty, and sooo down to earth. I think we'll be friends for a while. lol!
I used Deconstructing Jen's current sketch for this card:

Come on over and join in on the fun! Click here to get to TPE's blog
and see what adorable cards the Design Team {aka Ella's girls} made. :)
Have a beautiful Monday everyone! Thank you so much for coming by.

Oh the possibilities! Here is my card using that adorable bunny image from their line:

I know, I know - a blue bunny? heehee! I started out trying to match another DP and it just didn't work. No worries though as this particular blue bunny makes me think of the ice cream brand. Mmmmm...and with the 108* weather we've been having, I would have him hopping alongside me all day long!
You can see the wonderful designs by the DT HERE on the TPE blog. Link up your work and we'll come pay you a visit! Off to the freezer I go, I want ice cream now...Have a wonderful Monday everyone! ♥

Come celebrate my 2nd scrapbook page of the year!

Haha! Happy Wednesday everyone! Is it just me or is the week going by at a nice {quick} pace?
I sat down this weekend and actually created a page with Lehana's picture from the park:

The Greeting Farm is starting scrapbook challenges and I am sooo happy to be back in it. I have scrapbooks for the boys and then it kind of dwindled to nothing from that point on. ;) This week they wanted stitching on your page, combined with TGF images. The flowers, heart border and butterfly on the tag is from the Hope & Grace set.
I also used the challenge over at The Pink Elephant to use paint and chipboard (tag embellishment). I found this great vellum saying:
I love coming across fun finds in my stash! I am not sure if I quite get the idea of doing the new and awesome style of scrapbooking yet, but I'm definitely hooked for the time being. Thanks so much for coming by, have a beautiful Wednesday everyone!

What I've been up to...Wednesday

Good Wednesday to you all. Haha! I sound British. Cheerio!
Here are a couple of cards that I've done recently.
For my Tilda card I designed it for 4 different challenges. Is that tacky? I would love to know your thoughts on it as I just started to do these challenges. To be honest, I made sure that I was pleased with the outcome and that the end result was respectful to the 4 different sites.

For the layout: Kazan's Sketch 20 at 2sketches4you is so pretty. Her card is amazing as are the rest of her DT. I love this layout! I rotated it to the left but still met the requirements. I am hooked on this site.
For the color combo (and the base is actually CB'd but it is so hard to tell with the layers): Cuttlebug Challenge's Mellow Yellow Rendezvous Monday challenge to use as much yellow as possible. What a fun color, I felt like I got my dosage of Vitamin D while working on this!
For the image and sentiment requirement:
Roses on Paper's Lim's Love and Friendship Challenge. ROP requires the use of a stamp from either The Greeting Farm, Magnolia, Whiff of Joy, Alota, Sarah Kay or Rachelle Anne Miller line. I used a Tilda from the Magnolia line and made her a more tan color for three reasons: I didn't want her to get washed out in a sea of yellow, this is more of my own skin color, and mainly because my one skin copic color has gone to copic heaven. ;)
And finally, for the razzle and dazzle of it all: Lori Boyd and her talented crew at The Pink Elephant's All That Glitters challenge. You could use any kind of bling, as long as it was sparkly. :D
If anything, at least my mom will be getting some fancy shmancy cards in her box this month! I send her cards so she doesn't have to go out and buy them, these are way different than my normal 2 layer-sentiment-image-ribbon ho hum ones that she's been getting!

And finally, my new Anyas arrived this afternoon! Woohoo! I love getting new stamps in the mail, it makes me do all the housework and cooking done in 5 minutes so I can play. haha! Who cares if the socks are in the oven, right? ;) I inked up the middle Anya in the set because she reminds me so much of my DD. Hair and everything! I paper pieced the shopping bags for more texture and opted to do DD's fave color combo of b/w and baby blue. My craft space just so happens to be on the other half of the girls' playroom and lookey what I found while tidying up their area - play money from their cash register! So I took 3 (they didn't even notice) and used it as DP for my shopping card. :D The first thing DD asked when she got home from school was, "Is that ME?" I knew I did okay then. haha!
Have a wonderful Wednesday - smile, it makes the day go by faster!
*Love and Aloha*
