ACLP's Scrapbook challenge!

Happy 2nd post Thursday everyone! :)So many exciting things are happening over at A Crafty Little Place and Die Cuts R Us. Not only do we have our new DT kicking things off with a bang, but Claudia's amazing Copic sale starts tomorrow! Eeek! Make sure you have your lists ready, the prices are unbelievable, and so is the customer service.

This is also the last week of our scrapbook challenge until further notice. I am so grateful to have completed so many pages because of this DT!

And here's my secret: Although we're not back in school quite yet here in VA, we still - uh - accidentally have that book. We ran across it last month and even though it is her favorite (she wants to be a doctor when she grows up) she was so upset that it was overdue! No worries though, the school knows and is perfectly fine with us returning it in two and a half weeks. :)

Hanging by the strings

Heehee! Hi everyone and welcome to day 5 of our extended weekend! Yes, snow day again, and with 5-10 inches more expected tonight. yay. But at least my DH is home too which makes it feel like a vacation. :D

Today is a fun little post for Die Cuts R Us newest challenge. I am still pinching myself that I made it on this team, they are a truly talented bunch!

I lost my "train" of thought...lol!

Hello everyone! And yes, what you read above is true. As I approach 38 (again, I thought I was 38 this year already) I seem to start an idea and then forget what I was going to do with it. haha! So before I forget,

And before I lose this train, I better show it to you!

Ever since I released this set from my Inktegrity line, I kept wanting to turn it into a happy Christmas train. I finally had the chance to do it last night! It was so much easier than I thought it would be, I hand drew the little tree and cany cane in the car, added lots of liquid app, made a little wreath, and then drew in the curvy lines for the Christmas "lights" (really just dots of stickles and glitter). Here is a closer look:

I had a small circle punch that I used for the wreath, then I did an inverted scallop with deco scissors for the outside. I also finally got to use my MS train border punch, it's so sweet IRL.
