Thank goodness I sprained my ankle Wednesday!

Hi everyone, I hope your week is going great so far! Well, now you know how mine has been. ha!
Yup, you read that title correctly. When I think about it, it could have been a lot worse. Funny how things happen when you least expect it, right? I was doing SOOO many well intended acts when it happened. Heck, I'll even count them for you...
It was a beautiful day so I thought I would surprise my girls by taking them out to a fun and different park (that's 1). After getting them and Izzy dressed appropriately with sunscreen and hats (2), I loaded them up into the van to pick up their little buddy Maddie that we invited (that's 3!). Lily said her buckle wasn't on right so I got out of the driver's seat to double check it. She sits in the very back of the van so I decided to go all the way in just to make sure she was secured. (That counts right?)
Anyway, I realized that I forgot the water bottles and told them that I would grab their drinks, and we'd be on our way. And then - THUNK. As I stepped out of the van, my left foot slipped off our driveway and into a 3 inch dip in the muddy grass right next to it. If this is any indication of how far my foot twisted, only the outer half of my left shoe was covered in mud. I yelled something (although I am not sure exactly), but I was thankful the kiddos were busy talking about watching Wall-E on their way to the park.
I thought about it later and thanked God that it wasn't anything worse! There is very little traffic behind our house as it is a garage access lane for those on our street. I could have whacked my noggin and blacked out (the kids would have still been discussing Wall-E - haha!). Knowing Maddie's mom though, Leslie would have been concerned and come looking for me.
So here I am, foot elevated, and since I can bear some weight on it, I'll be fine. I've been RICE-ing it (no, not as in musubi rice, as in Rest Ice Compression Elevation) but my left foot looks like it has gout. :(
Okay, so it inspired me to make this card that I've had in my head. I just got my TGF happy mail on Monday and knew what I wanted to do with Annika (I think that's her name!). She will be released on Friday, I happened to snag her at the pre-sale on Marie's blog.

Here's my Thank You card, long overdue! Get it? haha! Since she's holding a book, I thought she'd be perfect for a library card holder. I wish I took a picture of that insert, on a normal day I would have dashed out to the craft room to snap and upload. I don't feel like hobbling right now but you can purchase it HERE as a digi from a gal named Lindsay. :D Nothing fancy shmancy on this card, except that I was so happy to use a binder clip as an embellishment. I could never figure out how to use it right, but felt like it was an appropriate add on for this one.

So here I am, grateful, and with my foot up on the printer. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, I promised you a fun week and I wasn't lying. There is a fun challenge announcement tomorrow, and a BIG surprise on Friday! I would jump up and down, but you know how that would feel...;)

*Love and Aloha*

Oh my!!! Hope you get back on your feet again soon.... Sorry, bwahahahahaha, I giggled from the visual of your foot on the printer. That would totally be me, snow, sleet, hail, laundry, or sprained ankle wouldnt keep me from my appointed blogging...
Hope that brought a smile to your sweet face.

Oh Joni!!!!!! feel Better soon. At least stamping doesn't require you to stand, or take a jog! And as long as the computer is within reach you should never be bored!!!
