The creative worm or the determined bird? haha!
Hi everyone! Thanks for popping in on this wonderful Thursday. I couldn't wait to start playing around with my digis from The Digi Shack again. Every time I go back to these images, I'm practically laughing at all the silly possibilities! This is one of the funniest images in the shop, don't you just feel for both of them? While trying to think of something fun to do with it, I decided to extend the worm past the ground and into the dirt. Then I thought it would be quite hilarious to have him knotted up on purpose. haha!
I would like to think I'm both of them, at different times of the week. I start off being creative but by Wednesday I feel like something has got to give. LOL! I colored him with copics, and added white flocking to his belly (this explains the crazy looking color), then drew more of the worm for the underground. The grass and dirt are scraps, the sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps. I can't decide who I'm saying good luck to - the bird or the worm. haha! I hope this made you smile!
More exciting news! The Digi Shack is hosting their weekly challenge now on the blog. Every Thursday will be a new one, sketch at times, color combos for other weeks. Mandy came up with a wonderful spring combo using the following colors:
And here's my take:
The hibiscus image is from the Digi Shack, of course. Isn't it just pretty? I printed it out twice and popped one out on dimensionals. The green DP is from Chloe's Closet by Making Memories. It was a huge pack of 36 DP designs that was on sale for $5.99. ;) I cb'd my summer sun layer and cut out a going gray nestie as a frame. (My OTT light and I are not getting along right now. I'll have a talk with him to see why there's so much of a glare on my cards, he never used to do that!!) Click HERE to read more of the deets, and come play along!
And last but not least, here is a picture of Izzy and my friend Vanessa's dog:
We were dog-sitting, and although Izzy was pretty confused over this furry thing, Princess constantly cozied up to him wherever he was. In this picture, he has no idea she's right beside him. HAHA! And look at her smiling, like they're the closest buddies ever. Isn't she a sweetie though?
And speaking of sweets...If you haven't noticed, I posted a picture of Isiah every day this week. His first birthday is on Saturday, and if we were back home in Hawaii, I would be planning his big 1st birthday luau right now. (*sniff sniff*) However, I am miles away from home so I thought I would celebrate everywhere else. We're having a party for him this weekend: Saturday with the family and then again on Sunday (our oldest DS requested it...he'll be gone on a music department overnight trip and won't be back in time). Isiah is already in a partying mood, especially with all this happy mail that he's been receiving from friends and family members! Here's my little surprise - at most kids' birthday parties, there's a goody bag right? (hint hint!) Check back here tomorrow for the deets. ;) Until then, have a wonderful Thursday!
