Precious Hippie Chic was sooo much fun to color in! I wanted a softer pallette to match the image and found this DP from Michaels. There are punched flowers throughout this 12x12 sheet so your base cardstock shows through. Pretty groovy eh? To keep things a little softer, I used my SU pencils and my blender pen. I've always loved that medium, albeit an old school technique. I came up with the sentiment on the computer, punched it out with my SU punch, then pink-inked the edges.
So she was my reason for a peaceful Friday, now here's to a productive weekend:
Isn't she independent? She will be listed as "I can do it" in the shop. You go girl! She reminds me of my friend Jody, totally skilled with just about any tool and she even studied auto mechanics. Jody is my go-to when I have any question about stuff that DH has broken. HAHA!So I colored Ms. fix-it with prismas then using the colorless blender, faded out her knee area. Check out that ribbon, it's from the Offray outlet in MD. Some SCS sisters and I hung out there this summer and $10 later, I am still swimming in yards and yards of it. I also had a border sheet of tool stickers that I adhered to cardstock on the left of the image. (Yes, I went back to the good old days with these cards - blender pens and stickers! HAHA!)
