Remembering Grampa

Hello to everyone on this beautiful Memorial weekend, I hope that it has been a relaxing and wonderful one for you!
I made this card in honor of my dad who fought in the Korean War, and who also passed 13 years ago this month. He lived an amazing life of travel, living in Canada, raising 4 kids and meeting 3 of his grandchildren. At the time we only had Kalil who was less than a year old when my dad passed.
Recently I began drawing again, inspired by my kiddos and their friends, in hopes of creating a line that was more innocent and embraced childhood. I started a new blog called Inktegrity which also shows another card that I featured about a couple of weeks ago (Nala's bday card).

I drew this digi image of my son Isiah. My dad would have absolutely loved him! Well, he would have loved them all, I just thought it would be cute to have a baby holding an American flag and wearing a military hat to honor those who have served our country. Here's a closer look:

I wanted to offer it as a freebie to everyone but there's some pixel splatter that I have to get rid of first. I promise to try and have it up before the 4th of July. :D My goal is to show more of these images and eventually be up and running as a digi stamp company by summer when I have more time to work out the logistics. Who knew there would be so much involved? I just wanted to draw! teehee!

Thank you all for coming over today, enjoy your Monday and at 3pm your time (any time zone you are in) the military has asked for a moment in silence to honor our fallen heroes. Have a blessed day everyone! *Love and Aloha*

He's adorable! Congratulations on YOUR OWN line of digi's. Even before I read your post I knew that was Izzy. It's wonderful and such an amazing tribute to your Father. I'm sure he's pleased.
