Chug a chug a WOOT WOOT!

Happy Thursday everyone!!
I am posting a bit late today because I had to wait for my model to wake up. LOL!
I decided to venture into the world of altering once again, this time on t-shirts and another project that I will have to show you after the image is released for another company. ;)

I chose my Inktegrity train image as my DS loves all things trains.
First off I printed it on to an iron on transfer sheet and then let it cool:

After about an hour I trimmed it and then laid it on a pre-washed white tee of his:

Now all you have to do is set the parchment paper atop the image and press FIRMLY with an iron (setting should be on the highest level for cotton).

You need to first press around the entire image and its edges for about 20 seconds each time, picking up the iron in between areas. Once this is done (about a couple of minutes of ironing time) then iron the entire image in smooth strokes.
This is what it looks like when the transfer is done:

Now simply color it in using your choice of copics or fabric markers (they also sell fabric crayons).
And here is my little model with the finished result:

I had so much fun with this project! I am also making St. Patty's day ones for my 2 DD's that says "no pinching zone." lol! The transfer sheets can be found at any store - Wally's craft section, notion areas in popular craft stores, and even at Michaels. I chose an inexpensive brand made by Tailor since this was a first timer for me. I also saw $1 Hanes tees at our local Dollar Tree - what a fun and inexpensive project for sleepovers, bday gifts, or for a baby shower! (<---hint hint, stay tuned!) You can even let the kiddos color it in themselves! You can see more of my own digis HERE at my shop.
Have a wonderful Thursday everyone! I am off to follow my choo choo model around the house. ;)

Joni

oh Joni... FIRST of all, your little one is ADORABLE... little train shirt or not, he's just WAY tooooo cute! But the shirt... wow, fantastic idea. I have often wondered if coloring with copics would stay on clothing, I'm thinking it would since Hmmmm, a few times I got some on my own clothing and it never washed out. ha ha...
What an awesome idea! I just may have to give this a try!
