TPE Challenge #203

Happy Monday everyone!
It's time for a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant!
This week we want you to create for:

FATHER'S DAY

What a great way to get a jump start on cards for Sunday!
Here is my card using a freebie image from Beyond the Fringe:

My hubby is in the military so the only time he wears a tie is for church. ;)
However, my dad in law is a Vice Principal at a high school, so this is definitely going to him!
Colored the image with copics, matching it up to my MME Follow Your Heart papers.
Nothing fancy here, it's always nice to make a male card without the froo froos. heehee!
I am also entering in on the following blogs:
Crazy 4 Challenges: Father's Day
Scrap it with a song: Suit and Tie

Come on over and join in on the fun!
Click here to hop over to The Pink Elephant's blog to see what the other designers have created.
There are cards and scrapbook layout to inspire you, this is also where you link up your work.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend?
We spent it celebrating our son's high school graduation:

Here's our Hawaii born son, graduating from Virginia but with handmade leis. :)
My brother in law and sister back home made sure to send a touch of love for this special day!

Thank you for swinging by to see me, enjoy your Monday everyone!

{green} Apples and Oranges!

Happy Friday everyone!
Better late than never, thank you Blogger for working again! This week's card is a special one for me via Raise the Bar's newest challenge:

{Green} Apples and Oranges

Why this color combo? Well because it's happy, it's summery, and it's also my daughter's favorite combo...who happens to have a 10th birthday tomorrow!! {HAPPY BDAY NALA!}
The RTB designers were so sweet to humor me and make birthday cards over at the blog, Nala will be so tickled when I show it to her tomorrow!
For my card I used Hope from TGF and Jillibean Soup Pasta Fagioli papers from Claudia and Co. I am also entering her in the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges: Lots of Flowers
Wee Memories: C.R.A.F.T.S acrostic challenge {I used Color, Floral, Twine, Ribbon and Stamps}
Sparkles Forum Challenges: Recipe of 2 patterned papers, ribbon, and two embellishments (bling, prima)

Come on and bring your apples and oranges! Click {here} to hop over to the Raise The Bar blog, come have a look at the adorable cards and link up your own for a Guest Bar-Tender spot!
Have a beautiful Friday everyone! Thank you so much for coming by...even though it's late. lol!

TPE #89 - color challenge!

Green Blue & Red

Happy wonderful Monday everyone!
This week at The Pink Elephant, we are being sponsored by Tiffany Doodles:

I chose the beautiful cardinal from her collection to work with this versatile color combo:

To keep the cardinal as the focal point, I used more subdued blues and greens in the background.I used some older DP in my stash and paired it with a MS branch border punch as well as an SU sentiment.
Come on by and see the wonderful samples by the Design Team! You can see the talented gals {here} on the TPE blog, this is also where you will link up your creations.
Other fun challenges that I combined with this card:
CPS: Current Sketch
Crazy 4 Challenges: Script paper
Have a great day everyone, I hope your weekend was joyful!

You're One of a Kind!

Happy Monday everyone! I am so happy that my DH took the week off, it's a nice transition into the lazy days of summer that are soon approaching. And I get to play more in my craft room while the 2 little ones ambush him with their toys- heehee! ;)
I decided to join in on some challenges this week, The Greeting Farm has a fun one based on a piece of jewelry:

While I have a nice collection of Hawaiian jewelry, incredible hand made necklaces by relatives, as well as a wonderful Journey pendant from my hubby, I decided to go with these fun bracelets that my daughters all own. The colors are so bright and happy, and seeing them prance around with matching bling really makes me smile! This card is going to my daughter's Kindergarten teacher. All 3 cuties on my card are from The Greeting Farm's Roll Call kit - from left to right: Jade, Miko, & Maria. Since we are a military family, our schools are so wonderfully diverse that this really does look like a part of my daughter's class picture!
Crazy 4 Challenges wanted to see pleating on a card:

I also followed the current sketch from Fussy & Fancy Friday.
Thank you for coming by to see me! I hope you stay tuned as I have a little surprise up my sleeve later this week. :D Hugs and happy Monday to you all.

Easel with Izzy

Hello everyone (again)! My first post for Sunshine and Giggles is found below. Janice is having a DT call and debuting a new site so be sure to check it out!

I keep making these cards for challenges and not getting them in on time, so I decided to do a double post before I forget.

This is my first easel card, and I promise to contain myself and not do these everyday. haha! I just loved it! It's so fun to make, what a great way to showcase a card on itself.
Here are the challenges I used with this adorable new image named Izzy (Twinkle Tots line) by The Greeting Farm:

Anya Ink : color challenge {blue and orange}
Anyone For Anya?: recipe challenge {3 papers, 2 buttons, 1 bow}
Crazy 4 Challenges: Easel card
Card Patterns: Sketch challenge

A closer peek (just because I finally stopped being lazy and embossed the image first):

I received some new N copics in the mail as an early HB present! I was so happy to color Izzy up with them.
Thank you for popping in to see me! Have a wonderful rest of your day my friends.
*Love and Aloha*
