Sunday Sketch & Stamp new challenge!

Well happy Sunday my friends!
I woke up to the sound of rain. It's kind of nice and cozy - perfect crafting weather!
This week we have a fun new Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge designed by Catherine.
For my card I used the adorable Winky Bean from The Greeting Farm:

I paired her with MME papers {the sweetest thing} and colored her in with copics.
Here is Catherine's sketch for the week:

Come along and join in on the fun!
You can find other adorable samples by the design team here,
this is also where you'll link up your work.

I am also entering her in on the following challenges:

Raise the G.R.E.E.N. Bar!

Happy beautiful finally-it's-Friday everyone!
Today starts a new challenge over at Raise The Bar. First off, I truly apologize that I didn't join in on the fun last week...I am surprised the owner didn't fire me. heehee!
But now I am ready for a new week and a fun theme:

Make your own G.R.E.E.N. acrostic

Create a card based on anything made with these intials and join in on the fun! Be creative and show us that you've gone G.R.E.E.N.
For my little creation I used Flirty Anya from the Greeting Farm to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with this acrostic:
Green cardstock, Ribbon, Easel, Embellishment, New stamp
{see how fun this is?}

Now March 17th always makes me giggle, it is the day before my wedding anniversary. Before we tied the knot, my hubby's friends threw him this awful Bachelor's Party. They took him to a bar (DH doesn't drink) and tanked down green beer. My DH had to drive them all home because they were sick to their stomachs. lol! :)
Come on over and see the wonderful samples by my Bar-Tenders. I love those girls, they always surprise me with the most adorable creations! Click {here} to hop on over to the blog and enter in on the challenge this week.

Other wonderful challenge sites that I am entering Anya in:
Charisma Cardz: Easels
Paper Play Challenges: Shades of green/Good luck
ABC Challenge: P is for pearls
Little Red Wagon: St. Paddy's Day

Have a wonderful Friday everyone, thank you so much for coming by!

I {heart} Raise The Bar! (heehee)

Okay, you busted my corny title. At least I'm feeling better though! ;)
It's Friday, another snow day here in VA, and time for a new challenge at Raise The Bar!
It's an easy one, and sort of a no brainer with Valentine's Day right around the corner. That's right, it's time to have a Heart to Heart talk, so use any type of hearts on your cards!
Here is mine, I finally had the chance to play with my own digi:

I decided to make an easel, but width-wise instead of lengthwise. {All you have to do is adjust the folds horizontally as you would otherwise do with a regular vertical easel.}
My image is colored with copics and paired with that new DP I just bought at Michaels for this card. It is sooo yummy, full of texture and glitter and such wonderful colors.

I was at Big Lots the other day and ran across some great Valentine's Day chipboard from K&Co for 99cents. Love love love that store! I used 3 of the hearts on the easel along with the sentiment and more baby blue bling to balance out the colors. This fun digi is now available in my shop HERE and comes with 3 coordinating sentiments.
I've also made this for a handful of challenges that you are more than welcome to follow along to:
Cute Card Thursday: Spots & Dots (CB folder)
Digital Tuesday: different fold (horizontal easel)
ABC Challenge: New (just debuted my digi and that DP)
C.R.A.F.T.: Valentine's Day
Creative Card Crew: Valentine's Day
Pile It On: Enough of Winter colors
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge: Hearts
Little Red Wagon: Chipboard

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! Enjoy your day. :D

Spinning happily, it's Friday!

Hello and a very happy Friday to you all! Wowza, that felt like a long week didn't it? Nevertheless, it is here, I am here, and all is well. ;)

First off, I know it's the anniversary of 9/11 and I didn't want it go unsaid here on my blog. I live about 15 minutes away from the Pentagon, and today will be full of guest speakers, remembrance and prayers in our Washington DC area. Being so close to one of the sites always brings me back to what matters most and to not take anything for granted. With that said, thank you for coming by to visit me today. I know that the world is full of great people everywhere.

So a couple of reminders: Monday is the last day to enter my blog candy HERE and HERE. Yes! Two spots! And the Inktegrity blog giveaway is actually a bit higher, the current gc amount is currently at $30. Woohoo!
Also on the Inktegrity blog is a sneaky deaky of what's to come on Monday. Omword, I think this is the most fun release yet. You won't want to miss it, especially if you have children and love October. ;) Go and take a guess as to what it is! Click HERE to comment...

Now on to our regularly scheduled program...
Today's post is so special to me because I have the chance to show off a friend's digi image. Lori Boyd is thinking about going digital and I totally agree!
Here's her test sample image:

You can find her on Lori's blog HERE as a freebie. Isn't she a cutie patootie? I always envision little girly images like this as a spinner card, just because it twirls around. It's as if she's doing a sweet curtsy as a thank you.
Here it is in slow motion. (lol!)

I printed this mouse twice, colored her in, and then sandwiched SU's linen thread between nesties. I used the color challenge on The Pink Elephant of red, black, yellow and white. That red and yellow polka dot DP was a RAK a couple of years ago and is part of a TAC stack.
A closer look at the deets and linen thread, which is adhered in between the layers:

The prima, ribbon and button were from various SCS swaps, the leaves are made with an EK Success punch, and her dress is stickled with Candy Cane. ABC Challenge also has a current requirement to use "D for Die Cuts," I think I've used 5 different ones for this sweetie!

Thank you again for coming by, it means the world to me. I hope today brings you more joy than you expected, have a wonderful Friday everyone!
*Love and Aloha*

Look what landed in my backyard...

Haha! HAPPY FRIDAY everyone! :D
I hope this post finds you well and ready to have an incredible and fun weekend.
I have been wanting to use this Digi Shack image since it debuted, I perused through the different challenges to find a sketch that would work for my idea and here's all the ones I managed to squeeze into one little spacecraft:

The absolutely fun layout is from Eat Sleep Stamp (basically my daily routine, then add 6 children and all of their friends somewhere in there - lol!).
At first I was a little bummed out that there was a glare off of my protective shield, but then I was thrilled to see the way it looked on the computer! I punched out a piece of clear cardstock when the top of my Pringles can looked too bulky. Yes. I said Pringles can.
And then I realized when I was done that GASP! No bling or ribbon? Which is perfect for ABC Challenges this week - Zero embellishments! When I was talking to my friend yesterday about this challenge, surely there was no way I could create something without doodahs. All the stars are from a piece of DP.
And I do believe there is also a polka dot challenge going on, I'll be sure to update once I find the link!

Here is a closer look at the card (kind of a lame pic, but there are a lot of layers and dimension going on):

Thank you so much for coming by on this wonderful Friday! Have a super weekend everyone, I will be back on Monday with some Doodlelicious sneak peeks of what Melyssa has in store for the 15th's new releases! Sah-weet schtuff, you won't want to miss it. ;)

*Love and Aloha*
