Friday Spy Day!

Happy beautiful Friday everyone! I am soooo glad the weekend is upon us. I just love sleeping in on Saturday mornings and hanging out all day long. We are not weekend warriors - we are weekend couch potatoes. lol! Without apologies!
This week's Farm Fresh Challenge's Friday Spy Day has us CASE-ing a great card by...
Sheena!

What a dapper fellow! ;) I love all the layers of her card, the distressed edges, and wonky squares. I still need to get that nestie, by the way...
For my card I CASE-d her as best as I could, but decided to embellish the area with the sentiment instead:

Refreshing my memory here...This is Wild Sprout Annika if I remember correctly! Yes, I believe so. ;) She is one of my favorites with her sweet First Day of School look. heehee! I paired her with some adorable papers from October Afternoon that I won on a Facebook giveaway! Woohoo! The colors are soo happy and sweet, the patterns are perfect for any school age child. Here is a closer look at my embellishments:

Usually I keep embellis quite simple, but lately I've been wanting to layer them until it takes $4 to mail one card. It's just a phase, I am sure, but in the meantime I'm having fun. ;)
Come on over to the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see what the other fabulous designers have created, this is also where you will link up your work, CASE-ing Sheena's card.
Thank you for stopping in today, I will be back later with yet another TGF card (gasp!) for a different challenge! See you soon!

Tag - you're it!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Are you ready for a fun new challenge over at A Crafty Little Place? This week we want you to use a tag on your project. FUN! We had the wonderful opportunity to use Echo Park's Summertime papers:

I used the 4th panel with its sweet flowers and yummy orange pattern on the back. It reminded me of a certain hippie shirt:

Recipe:
Inkadinkadoo sentiment

heehee! Doesn't Anya look right at home? I used the layout from Friday Sketchers as it worked nicely with the tag theme this week. Come on over and join in on the fun! You can see more wonderful samples HERE by the awesome new design team, as well as link up your work. Have a beautiful day everyone! ♥

Anyone need a hug? ;)

Happy Sunday everyone!
Unorganized me didn't have the opportunity to post this yesterday so here I am. I was perusing through tons of different challenges and had fun combining as many as possible. All sites are linked so you can join in on the fun too!
ADORABLE fairy image, courtesy of Two Scoops Rice Designs. You can find her HERE with her other garden fairy friends, this one was a freebie digi that Renae graciously had on her blog last year (whoa, time flies!). There is also a really great sketch challenge going on at the TSRD blog HERE. You have one more week to enter into the contest, there is a freebie Mumford image HERE to join in on the fun.

Here are the following challenges that I incoporated:
Friday Sketchers: layout
Cute Card Thursday: Fairy
C.R.A.F.T.: Red
Simon Says: Punch It (sentiment, branches, flourishes, corner edges)

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! And if anyone needed a hug today, consider it done. :D

A Whimsie Doodly day

Hello everyone and happy middle of the week! Thank you for coming by, I haven't said that recently but I love your company. :D
Today is a lineup of what's to come over at Whimsie Doodles. Now I apologize for the late notice, but if you hop on over there to the blog and leave a comment, you have the chance to win the new releases!
Here are a few, just to entice you (heehee!):

Isn't she sweet? This set is called Go Figure and will be available tomorrow in the shop. I used the current layout by Friday Sketchers as it worked well as a little scene for this skater.
Here is another adorable set that Melyssa created for the holidays:

Some of you may have caught a glimpse of it last week on the WD blog. :D I just love this pair, they look like DH and I after we've put up all of our crazy Christmas decor! Oh wait...never mind, none of the ornaments are broken. ;)
I had the chance to use my liquid app on this card, as well as lots of bling for the gingerbread accents. I know homemade flowers are all the rage right now, so I was thrilled to find my stash that I bought last summer (as in '08) at the Offray ribbon outlet. Can you believe they were a dime for a pack?!

And here are some fun cutting files that Melyssa brilliantly designed for the release as well:

Awww! This is perfect for a baby girl's first Christmas! These are wonderful holiday card shapes for easy paper piecing, now isn't that adorable? This is the stocking shape, it comes complete with stitched toe and heel, and fold for the very top. No more messy edges trying to wing the shape, these are neat little files that are easy to cut out and design with. They are made for A2 cards, but they can also be resized like this:

Here is the santa boot that I decorated for this gift bag as a tag. What size is this boot? Here is a visual:

heehee! It's teeny tiny! I scaled down the proportion of the actual bag so that this could hold a little gift card. The boot opens up as a tiny tag for you to write a note in.
So what are you waiting for? Be sure to hop on over to the Whimsie Doodle blog HERE for your chance to win these images, there are 2 others so skim through that wonderful blog. And don't forget, we have a fun WD blog hop tomorrow as well as a fun surprise! EEK!
There is also a little party going on my Inktegrity blog HERE, all the links are in the sidebar for you to win the new releases. ;) Happy day everyone! Enjoy your Wednesday~

Yeehaw, it's almost Friday!!

Well hello everyone and a happy Thursday to you! Today is our trash day so I get excited pulling out our bins knowing that tomorrow is Friday. LOL! What a looney way to interpret the week. :D

This week The Digi Shack has an awesome color combo challenge for you this week! Toni gave us this nice eyeshadow pallette to work with of dark brown, bronze, caramel and teal. Beautiful on doe-shaped eyes but it was a challenge indeed for me!
Here is my yeehaw card with those colors:

Doh - what a doof. I photographed a white card on a white background, which is why it looks like it's floating . I wanted the boots to look like well worn leather so I went over it repeatedly with 3 shades of prismas.
The primas one the bottom are so beautiful IRL - each one has this rubbed edge of brown on different leaves and edges which was perfect for this card. I tried to take a little pic of it for you:
The awesome layout is by Friday Sketchers, I also added a star charm which is dangling through the wrought iron corner.
Now it's your turn to do this color combo! If you'd like to see what the Wowies have done with this (and trust me - you do!) you can either click on their names in my sidebar or visit the blog's Mr. Linky. All of the projects will be linked up in there for easier access.
Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday because - Yeehaw! It's almost Friday! :D
