Hello and happy Monday everyone!
I hope you have some nice plans for this Memorial Day?
The weather is supposed to be beautiful, so I'll honor my dad with his two favorites:

the good outdoors and a nice barbecue. ;)

Here is my card featuring Summer Swing from Saturated Canary:

Wowza, Krista draws the cutest ethnic girls, doesn't she?

I used more of me MME Summer Splash papers since it just embraces the season.

I wanted her to look like she was actually swinging, so I tucked in some twine

where the actual swing rope would be. :)

Let's Rock the Retro!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
It's time for another Retro month-long challenge over at TGF:

HEARTS

Oh yes, are you feeling the love this week? teehee!
Here is my card using the adorable Wonderland digi:

That paper is sooo over the top, who better to rock it than Alice, right?
I wanted her to hold a balloon so after a failed attempt at making my own,
I just cut out one of the hearts from the patterned paper.
Alice's face and heart on the apron are also popped up with dimensionals.

Happy beautiful Monday morning everyone!
It is a chilly one here in the Northern VA area,
with Inauguration buzz happening all around me. :)
But if you're going to spend your MLK Jr. holiday off like me

I pulled colors from the inspiration picture as well as the doily.
Oh, and I also 'pig' out when I get my Vday gift. ;)

TPE Challenge #172

Happy beautiful Monday everyone!
Not only does today start a new week, but also a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant!
This week we want to see you create something along the lines of:

VINTAGE/SHABBY CHIC

So fair warning, I do neither of those genres very well. lol!
Buuuut, I did give it a valiant effort with my card:

I know, I know. All you lovely crafters who do these cards so well are cringing. teehee!
This beautiful image from Saturated Canary was asking me to color her in
while I watched the inclement weather reports here on the East Coast. ;)
I found some lovely papers from WalMart for $5 (Bonjour by Colorbok),
then added in a doily, and some beautiful gray primas with pearl centers.

I am entering her in these challenges as well:
