I was so excited to see the image we were using as well as the theme we were promoting, because as of tomorrow, I am heading to HAWAII for my sister's own wedding!! Eeeeek! I am very excited, but there's still a checklist for me to focus on before I get carried away. ;) I used an adorable Sweet Sketch Wednesday layout:

Happy FRIDAY!!

There are SO many wonderful things to celebrate today! First off, my sweet DD is turning 9 today. Happy Birthday Nala! MWAH!
And my good friend from college, who is an assistant coach at Navy, and also happens to be my son's Godfather is turning the big 40! HB Coach Jasper, I'm still younger than you Ivin!! :P
Today is also our weekly challenge over at Raise The Bar - a color combo using yellow, gray, and white. Any hue is fine, as long as all 3 colors are represented. Here is my card using Oliver from The Greeting Farm:

I love this little guy! There was a specific reason why I grabbed this Oliver and Amelia set from DCRU - I hope to work on it this weekend and show it to you, it makes me smile just thinking about it. ;)
I am determined to use my scraps up and found these two great pieces that are quite different but worked well with each other. The yellow layer is covered with polka dots, the gray piece is kind of gothic looking. lol! But pair them together with a happy image and it all worked out well. ;)

I also had the opportunity to play along with some challenges this week!
First off, Cute Card Thursday's "Someone Special": My cousin and his wife are expecting their second son next month. Since I am sending a present for the baby, I thought I'd include a little something for the soon-to-be big brother to let him know that he is super special!
This is also the layout for Sweet Sketch Wednesday's current challenge - totally fun, as well as Crazy 4 Challenge's What are little boys made of? theme.
Finally, The Pink Elephant has an awesome recipe: Yellow, Designer Papers, and buttons. I have no idea where I got that fun white rectangular one, but it felt boyish. ;)

My apologies to all Vintage lovers

Happy Wednesday ladies!
So what is that title all about? Well my little digi company Inktegrity is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches this week! It was so nice to be back with the original crew and working with Mel's sketch.
I decided to try my hand at vintage (gulp) since I drew this digi for one of my Winter Designers.

 

I really did try my best!! I am so bad at creating out of my norm, but this was fun to challenge myself. I've had that DP for quite some time now, paired it with Tracy's vintage digital image as well as the coordinating sentiment. I've also created this card for:

I {heart} Raise The Bar! (heehee)

Okay, you busted my corny title. At least I'm feeling better though! ;)
It's Friday, another snow day here in VA, and time for a new challenge at Raise The Bar!
It's an easy one, and sort of a no brainer with Valentine's Day right around the corner. That's right, it's time to have a Heart to Heart talk, so use any type of hearts on your cards!
Here is mine, I finally had the chance to play with my own digi:

 

I decided to make an easel, but width-wise instead of lengthwise. {All you have to do is adjust the folds horizontally as you would otherwise do with a regular vertical easel.}

My image is colored with copics and paired with that new DP I just bought at Michaels for this card. It is sooo yummy, full of texture and glitter and such wonderful colors.

 

I was at Big Lots the other day and ran across some great Valentine's Day chipboard from K&Co for 99cents. Love love love that store! I used 3 of the hearts on the easel along with the sentiment and more baby blue bling to balance out the colors. This fun digi is now available in my shop HERE and comes with 3 coordinating sentiments.

A fun Friday freebie with a festive feel and challenge!

Yay for tongue twisters!! Hello everyone and a very happy Friday to you. I know you have wonderful plans for the weekend ahead, and I do hope it includes this little contest of mine. wink wink :)
Over at Inktegrity, we started a fun new challenge to Decorate Your Mantel with this free image:

Yes, it's a clean slate, a very basic one for you to go crazy with. You can personalize it with any type of embellishments, decorate it for any occassion (T-day, Fall, Americana, you name it!). The winner will receive the Dec. 1st new release of digis from my Inktegrity line that the NEW Winter DT will debut! Yes, the new DT. Here is my card that I made with the image:

See? SUPER fun! I promise! 'Tis the season of no stressing, you don't even have to grab your ladder or your Christmas bins to participate. All you have to do is right click and save the mantel image to your desktop, print it off, and then bring out the designer in you.
I used my Tulip puffy 3D paint, an EK success leaf punch, and bling from a variety of packets. I freehand cut out the wreath, then added the SU sentiment tag.

Combine any elements that your heart desires, I made this with 2 different challenges in mind:

C.R.A.F.T. challenge of 1 tag + 1 sentiment + 1 ribbon
Cute Card Thursday's requirement of glitter (sprinkled on the snow and stickled on the stars & flame)

A Tuesday Morning Sketch sample

Hello everyone! Yes, today is a double post kind of day...
I originally made a sample card for Tuesday Morning Sketches with a Whimsie Doodle image that is being released on Thursday. Then I remembered that My Grafico was sponsoring this week so I did another card with their freebie butterfly image:

Since this is a digi image, I printed it on white and yellow cs, then matched up the scalloped circle with the rest of the tail and antennae.
Here is the A10 (business size) card in its entirety:

This also combines 2 other challenges - Cute Card Thursday's 'Buzz Off' color combo of black and yellow, and The Pink Elephant's recipe challenge of dots, tag, and a punch.
