A little bit of Altitude

Happy Friday, everyone! :)
Two weeks ago after the flooding in SC, my kids had a week off from school.
Last week they had a two hour delay.
This week they had a one hour delay, with Thursday and Friday off as previously planned.
Yup. That meant I had a lot of craft time since everyone has been sleeping in. ;)

I came across Bo Bunny's Altitude Collection when I popped into Hobby Lobby.
All paper pads 50% off? Yes please.

I wanted to share a few of my cards that I've made with this stack,
the colors are so beautiful paired together!

Trees from The Greeting Farm's Sing Hello

Sheena from TGF's Ever After Kit

Makeup Time from Saturated Canary

Isn't this just a lovely collection?
I think I may end up using up the whole paper pad before the season is up!
I found mine at Hobby Lobby, but I am sure it's everywhere in craft stores.

Have a happy Altitude day, everyone,
thank you for coming by to say hello!

Let it Snow!

Happy Monday, everyone!
With the school schedules almost back to normal,
I've been finding more time in my craft room. YAY!
It's an exciting time, with the holidays around the corner
and more images being released over at The Greeting Farm!

Today I wanted to show you two of my cards made with Let it Snow!

Not only is this guy the cutest, snuggliest bear ever,
but Marie has also released coordinating die cuts for this entire set.
This makes card making SO much fun!
He comes with two penguin friends (can't wait to ink them up!)
and little accessories to embellish your cards with.
Can I also add that he is so easy to color if you leave him white?
All you have to do is grab your favorite copic or marker to add little shadows on him.
Once I was done, I colored up his scarf to match my papers,
then used a white Inkessentials pen to add pattern. Super easy.

Be sure to stop by the Farm and see all the other wonderful releases!
And spoil yourself while you're there, okay? ;)
Thank you for popping in to see me, have a great day!

TPE Challenge #210

Happy Monday everyone!
Well today is our big day - the move to South Carolina!
We are really excited for this new venture...
There's always more to see, people to meet, places to go in life, right?

In the meantime, I sat down for TPE's newest challenge:

MASCULINE

Here is my card using CC Drummer from TGF:

Oh drummer...He's such a fun one to color up with his awesomeness!
I live vicariously through him.;)
Here's a closer look at his glittered drum set:

I colored the drums in with copics, then realized that it needed bling.
If you use a lighter stickle, you can still see the shading behind the glitter - yay!

Come on over and rock on with us!
Click here to get to TPE's blog to see more amazing inspiration,
we can't wait to see your Masculine themed cards.

Have a beautiful Monday everyone, thank you for coming by!

TPE Challenge #144

Happy beautiful Monday everyone!

The sun is shining, the kids are back to school, and it is time for a new challenge at TPE!
First off, I wanted to congratulate my friend/co-owner of The Pink Elephant Sheri Gilson
for being the newest Dirty Dozen girl over at SCS! YAY SHERI! :)

And now on to our challenge, inspired by this wonderful photo:

So fresh and spring-y! I love the variety of flowers and happy color palette.
Here is my sample using Glimmer from TGF:

I needed someone who was ready to take on warm weather with a smile!
I used a variety of odds and ends from my stash, inspired by the scallop and colors from the picture.
Sentiment is from Claudia and Company's former line of rubber stamps,
isn't it brilliant to have them vertical? I just love how they fit anywhere!

Come on over and see what Ella's girls have done here on TPE's blog.
They've created such a sweet lineup of inspiration today,
and this is also where you will link up your work.
Have a beautiful Monday everyone, we are looking forward to an *89 degree day! YAY!

Waiting for Pre-K

Happy wonderful Tuesday everyone!
Well we are down to ONE computer in this household. One! Until our new cord and batteries come in, my pink laptop is the hottest commodity in the home. It stays in my craft room though, so I am always surrounded by one or more of the kiddos throughout the day as they watch YouTube, play computer games, or surf the web. Although I had originally set up my craft room to be my oasis, I LOVE having all the noise and will truly miss it come September!
While we are still enjoying summer, my 5 kiddos are so ready for school to begin since we've moved to a new area. There's only one little Wilson that will be left at home with his mommy. {Insert 'why do they have to grow up so quickly' sad face here.} Isiah and I won't know what to do! The last time I was home with just one Wilson was when Kalil was a toddler! Since then they've always had a younger sibling to hang out with.
Here's a card I made for Iz man, I just know he'll wish he was part of the school crew when September rolls around:

Isn't Oliver the sweetest? I inked him up for Farm Fresh Challenge's school theme, using Jen's current Deconstructed Sketch:

I couldn't believe I ran out of my favorite American Crafts cloud paper, so I had to go old school and make a cloud template of my own to sponge on to the background. Now I'll never run out again! heehee!
Here are some other fun challenges that I am entering Oliver in:

Creative Stamp Friends: Create your own background
Creative Inspirations: Back To School

Thank you so much for coming by everyone, I appreciate your visits!

Dog Days of Summer!

Happy beautiful Friday everyone!
Phew - am I GLAD it is finally here, because I am so ready to be LAZY. heehee!
I hope you find time to join in on our new challenge at Raise The Bar celebrating the "Dog" Days of summer! Create a card using any dog image. This happens to be one of my all time favorite pooch images, featuring Oliver from TGF:

I wanted it simple, but I kept asking DH, "Is this okay? Is this okay?" lol! I didn't want to look like I didn't put any effort, so I focused on coloring and decided to do a one layer card. Easy to mail, and I really like the clean background.
You can see the other adorable samples with the cutest pooches here on the RTB blog. Come join in on the fun for your chance to be a Guest Bar-Tender!
Have a BEAUTIFUL day everyone, thank you so much for your friendship!

Chop chop crop crop

Happy beautiful Tuesday everyone!
Wow - 2 days in a row of posting, do you know what that means? It means I finally have my act somewhat together. lol! Bee Crafty has a new challenge up and running for the month called Cropping and Chopping. All you have to do is use part of a digi image for your card!
I chose the sweet Whimsical Girl The Kiss image, printed it as a 3x5 image, then cut the pair out with a nestie. Since the stores are all about Fall right now (really? Because we're still sweating out the 100* heat of summer here!) I used an American Crafts dp that had fun colors in it so they could "Fall" in love. heehee!
You can see the other adorable samples of chopping and cropping here on the Bee Crafty blog. You have ALL month long to enter so have fun with this!

On another note, there's nothing more wonderful than discovering that your card has been showcased. Thank you to the fabulous and uber uber talented Kim Yu for picking my black and white Anya card for TGF's Top Crop Tuesday! (And speaking of Kim, check out her amazing project she made for TGF's 3rd birthday bash yesterday - but be sure you're sitting down. lol!)

Have a GREAT day everyone! Head over to Bee Crafty's blog and I will see you all tomorrow!

Raise the Nautical Bar!

Happy Earth day and beautiful Friday everyone! It's our last day of spring break before the beautiful Easter weekend, ahhhh...where does time go when you're being lazy? ;)
This week over at Raise The Bar, we have a fun new nautical theme:

BLUE, WHITE, and STRIPES

Your card doesn't have to be sea-related, just as long as it has these 3 elements in it somewhere. For my card I inked up Hats Off Anya again, just because she looks like she'd be in a beautiful yacht with her sweet hat and outfit. The striped paper is from M's Recollection line, the wonderful boat patterned dp is from Claudia & Co.'s Echo Park sampler pack. I also used the current CASE sketch from Wanda on the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.
I am also entering it into the following challenges:
Top Tip Tuesday's open challenge - and for a little tip, use your embossing folders beyond the season it's intended for! This striped folder is actually a candy cane stripe for Christmas, but rotated it becomes vertical stripes. :0)
Incy Wincy Designs: Bright and bold
Make It Monday: Anything Goes

Now come on over to the Bar and see what the other designers created! Click {here} to hop over to the blog, and link up your work for your opportunity to become a Guest Bar-Tender. Thank you so much for coming by everyone, have a PERFECT Friday!

Tree-mendous challenge!

Happy wonderful Friday everyone! This week's challenge at Raise The Bar is in celebration of Earth Day (4/22) called:
TREE-MENDOUS!

Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to use any form of a tree on your card. Whether it be the focal image, a background scene, or an embellishment - as long as it is a visible tree! For my card I found this great patterned paper at Michaels when they had their 6 for $1 sale. When I saw the forest, I immediately knew who to pair it with!
Back in 2009, Marie from The Greeting Farm designed the images to celebrate the Twilight craze. Edward is pretty cute, isn't he? I'll always be Team Jacob, but this digi captures that reveal moment perfectly. I even added white stickles to Eddy's chest:

You can find the other Tree-Mendous samples here on Raise The Bar's blog. This is also where you'll link up your work so we can come visit you. Here are some other challenges that I am entering Ed in:
Craft Us Crazy: Thinking of You
Digi Doodle Shop's: Stripes
Do You Stack Up: Scallops

Hope to see you at Raise The Bar! Have a great Friday everyone, thank you for coming by. :0)

Forgive my French...

HAPPY FRIDAY friends! I love love love doing my Friday posts, first because I get to show you the newest challenge over at Raise The Bar, but mostly because it's Friday. lol! This week our theme is called:

NOW BOARDING!

We want to see your cards distinctively featuring a foreign country. For my card I used a tag from my daughter's shirt. ;) She pulled it off and I said, "GIMME that!" because it was so pretty! Google told me that it means "Beauty [beautiful] of the day" so of course I had to pair her with mon cheri Anya, my newest addition of the Hats Off set from TGF. The embossed line is from a Cuttlebug border - I am sooo addicted to these things! {btw, I've had the sweetest questions regarding some of the copic colors and products that I've used, I will do a post regarding this tomorrow if anyone is interested!}
I used Jen's sweet sketch from Club Anya's Saturday Sketch:

And I'm also entering her in the following challenges:
Basic Grey Challenges: Something Recycled {Kraft is BG, tag is from my daughter's shirt}
Card Ideas: Chocolate, caramel + one color {teal}
Our Creative Corner: Don't throw that away! {shirt tag}
Charisma Cardz: Birthday for a teen

Come on over to Raise The Bar and bring your passport! The DT did some amazing samples in honor of Japan, Paris, and Australia so fly over there and see it! heehee! Have a BEAUTIFUL day everyone! Thank you so much for coming by!

I'm joining the circus!!

Okay, not really but it's fun to imagine, right? haha! Except that I'm not sure who I'd be - I don't have enough facial hair for a bearded lady, I can't walk a tightrope, and I am definitely not flexible enough to be in Cirque Du Soleil. lol! But lately, my life feels like a circus I tell ya...I actually took the plunge and entered this Anya card into Paper Crafts call for circus cards but didn't get accepted. :( No worries, it was my first attempt and I had fun regardless!

I'm entering this fun little card for the following challenges:
Prairie Fairy Fridays: It's my party
Make It Monday: Anything Goes
Anyone For Anya?: Birthday card (I hope an invite is okay?)

So last Thursday I had a mini giveaway - congratulations to the following friend:

Congratulations to  Oliko of My Little Scrap Yard
Woohoo! I've never sent anything to Poland before. :) Please email me at jonjinko@hotmail.com with your address.
Thank you so much for coming by to see me, I really love your visits. :) Have a great day!

What's your favorite pie? (a mini giveaway)

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

For one of TGF's past challenges, I altered a recipe box that needed some attention. This is my Cheeky Cherry Pie that I won from TGF, what a great incentive to enter in on those challenges!
For my altered item I dug up some papers from an old Nana's Kitchen DCWV stack to decorate this cardboard recipe box. Instead of using it for actual food concoctions, I am going to store card techniques in it (measurements for stair steps, easels, etc.) so I have it all in one place.

So I want to know, what's your favorite pie?
Leave a comment here and random.org will select one lucky friend on Saturday to win a sweet surprise of their own. ;)
Thank you so much for coming by today!

Raise the G.R.E.E.N. Bar!

Happy beautiful finally-it's-Friday everyone!
Today starts a new challenge over at Raise The Bar. First off, I truly apologize that I didn't join in on the fun last week...I am surprised the owner didn't fire me. heehee!
But now I am ready for a new week and a fun theme:

Make your own G.R.E.E.N. acrostic

Create a card based on anything made with these intials and join in on the fun! Be creative and show us that you've gone G.R.E.E.N.
For my little creation I used Flirty Anya from the Greeting Farm to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with this acrostic:
Green cardstock, Ribbon, Easel, Embellishment, New stamp
{see how fun this is?}

Now March 17th always makes me giggle, it is the day before my wedding anniversary. Before we tied the knot, my hubby's friends threw him this awful Bachelor's Party. They took him to a bar (DH doesn't drink) and tanked down green beer. My DH had to drive them all home because they were sick to their stomachs. lol! :)
Come on over and see the wonderful samples by my Bar-Tenders. I love those girls, they always surprise me with the most adorable creations! Click {here} to hop on over to the blog and enter in on the challenge this week.

Other wonderful challenge sites that I am entering Anya in:
Charisma Cardz: Easels
Paper Play Challenges: Shades of green/Good luck
ABC Challenge: P is for pearls
Little Red Wagon: St. Paddy's Day

Have a wonderful Friday everyone, thank you so much for coming by!

Thank you Random!

heehee! What a strange title right? But random.org drew my name from all the blog hoppers at Club Anya's (TGF) new release last week and I won sweet Twirl Anya! I love love love her short hair, it's so spunky and cool. This is the current Saturday Sketch over at Club Anya, Jen's layouts are always fun to design with. I thought I'd keep the rest of the design simple by adding buttons to some of the circles. I stamped the pinwheel twice and attached it with a brad so it actually spins. :)
Other fun challenges with Twirl Anya:

For Fun Challenges: Purple, Green, and Yellow
Cupcake Inspirations {see pic} - don't they look like little edible pinwheels?

And on that sweet note, have a wonderful day everyone! Thank you for coming by, as soon as all the wedding planning (my sister's) simmers down a bit, I will be back to blog visiting!

A happy happy surprise

Happy Wednesday everyone!
I had the nicest long weekend organizing my craft room (not quite done - but are we ever?!?) and playing with some new stamps that I got in the mail. A few weeks back I won the Little Dreamer set from TGF and finally inked it up. Truth is, I finally found it so I could ink it up. lol! I told you I'm never quite done organizing...
I saw the current sketch over at Club Anya and wanted to play along:

{Jennifer makes the cutest sketches!}

Imagine my surprise when I saw my card on TGF's blog yesterday for Top Crop Tuesday! Eeek! (Thanks Tanya for making my week!)
I made this card for Lily, my 4 year old who is just sooooo anxious to start Kindergarten next year. There are mornings when she gets dressed when her older sisters are getting ready, then puts on her backpack 'pretending' she's getting on the bus with them. Little does she know that I dread that day! After she's in school, it will just be Iz and I, until the rest of the kiddos are done with their day. :(
I made this card with DCWV Grade School designer papers (appropriately chosen for this little dreamer) and added some girly embellishments.

Other fun challenges:
Stamps R Us: For the girls
Pile It On: Childhood Dreams
Stamptacular Sunday: Someone Special
Simply Create: Bold and bright

Thank you so much for coming by today and letting me share my story, have a beautiful Wednesday everyone!

TPE Challenge #93

Be My Valentine

We want to see your adorable Valentine's Day cards to celebrate this upcoming day! I used an old school TGF image called Fly High; that sentiment says it all of what I think of my hubby. :)
I took a chance and did some random sewing all over it to imitate wind swirls, although it may be a bit chaotic, it was fun doing something out of the norm. heehee!
Well I already know what I'm getting for February 14th. Usually DH buys me a dozen roses and California chocolate dipped strawberries, but this year I requested a more low calorie gift called a Grand Calibur. lol!
Come on by the TPE blog to see the adorable cards that Ella's girls have made. You can see all their work here as well as link up your own card.
Have a beautiful Monday everyone, thank you so much for coming by!

Get out of your comfort zone!

Happy beautiful Tuesday and first day of February everyone!
Today starts a new challenge for Claudia & Company:

Create a unique fold

Design a card that is not your usual standard style, let's see gatefolds, z folds, tent, tri-shutter, stair steps - there are so many wonderful tutorials for these! {Just click on each link for fun directions}
For my card I wanted to try the free standing pop up technique:

Recipe:
Embellishments: Satin Ribbon Coral; Delilah Collection Buttons

I used Izzy from TGF, then rolled my own flowers from Be-Loved scraps. The yummy satin ribbon is even prettier in real life, and those Delilah buttons are so fun, it even comes with bling in the same container!
Can you believe that this card folds flat to fit a medium size envelope? I love that!
You can see the other beautiful cards here on the Claudia and Co. blog, this is also where you'll link up your work.
Get out of the comfort zone and have fun with this challenge!
Thank you so much for coming by, have a wonderful rest of your day everyone. :)
♥ & Aloha,
